CC S7 September Debut In UK

True to our original announcement the Universal Channel here in the UK will be showing Cold Case season 7 this year. In fact it is due to début in just over a week, starting on Monday the 12th of September.

Currently Universal is showing a mix of seasons 3 & 4 at various times of day. From Monday week they switch to season 7 with the first episode The Crossing starting at 8pm, with repeats the following day at 1pm.

The Universal Channel (the UK Hallmark channel rebranded) is available to Sky satellite and Virgin Media cable subscribers. You can find more details on the Universal Channel website.

Kathryn Misses The Cut – Update x2

This week a select few cinema goers in the United States have been treated to some early previews of Moneyball.

I have been in contact with a number of people lucky enough to get tickets to the special screenings. Some of them have very kindly helped to answer the question all of us here have: is Kathryn in it?

We reported previously on comments from people that saw a pair of test screenings in March. In the first the result seemed to be that Kathryn only had one scene, with Robin Wright (playing Billy Beane’s first wife) getting two. The second audience research showing reduced those numbers by one each, removing Kathryn completely.

With just three weeks to go until the US release these new preview screenings will likely be of the final version. There won’t be further revisions made.

So, what is the answer to our question? Reports in so far are that something like the 2nd test screening version is the one that is being used for the release. If that is the case it means that Kathryn is not in Moneyball.

That’s a great shame. I’m sure the movie would have benefited from a bit more female involvement.

Update (2 Sept): Sony Pictures have released the full credits for the film, just as they would appear at the end of the movie. Kathryn is not listed, which puts an end to all the speculation and doubt. Neither is Gregor Manns that Kathryn appeared to have filmed with. Also, Moneyball has received a PG-13 rating for the US.

Cold Case S04E18 – A Dollar, A Dream Full HD Screencaps

A car found in a lake causes the re-opening of a case. The car belonged to a missing woman who lived in the car with her two daughters.

In a side story Will Jeffries has tracked down the man responsible for the death of his wife in a hit-and-run incident. Jeffries’ personal struggles dominate the preview video we have for A Dollar, A Dream.

Is This Kathryn In Moneyball?

Several TV trailer videos for Moneyball have been released in recent days. One, known as Defy The Odds, might very well contain the first evidence of Kathryn starring in the movie.

Just for a bit of fun I’ve added a simple Yes/No poll below to see if you think it is Kathryn.

The video, now in the Gallery, contains a very brief shot of Brad and a mysterious blonde in what appears to be a restaurant. Brad speaks but we hear nothing from the woman and there are no other shots from the scene in the video. An HD screenshot from the video is in the Gallery.

Based on previous images we’ve seen of Kathryn on set it seems reasonable to jump to the conclusion that it is her. Robin Wright (as Billy Beane’s first wife Sharon) has straight hair and Kerris Dorsey (as his daughter Casey) has a shorter, darker style. The white and black top the lady above is wearing is even in keeping with some of those photos.

Of course, just because a shot is used in a trailer does not mean it will be in the film. Hopefully we will get more concrete information very soon.

We are only two weeks away from the movie’s world première at TIFF and a month away from the general release in north America.

Fan Art Update – August 2011

We’ve reached the twelfth of these monthly updates. A whole year of fan art! That’s quite an achievement from what started off with me wondering if anyone would be interested. The response has been phenomenal.

At this time we have nearly 500 works of fan art across the 5 categories (Avatars, Banners, Buttons, Drawings, and Wallpapers & Backgrounds) and we are deeply indebted to more than a dozen artists (including, in alphabetical order: Alpha, IcyWinter, Kareen T, Lolly, Lynne Schlumpf, Mariana Elias, Richard Maissner, Smallbarbie, Tianna, TRB, and Zóe). Thank you all for your efforts.

This month we swell the fan art item numbers by a further 28 pieces with Avatars, Banners, and Wallpapers from IcyWinter, Lolly and the perfectly timed Smallbarbie. Thank you ladies.
