Xmas Advent Calendar 2011

I think everyone that has Xmas decorations has at least one that’s old and tatty.  You’ve had it for years and you should probably throw it away and buy a new one.  But it is practically part of the family.  It’s tradition so you have to use it, every year…

The KM UK advent calendar returns for 2011.  This year’s theme is “The Many Hair Styles Of… Kathryn Morris”.  The image behind each “door” is taken from a film or TV series and showcases a different hair style that Kathryn has sported.  There are some classics.

Starting tomorrow a new picture will be revealed each day (if I remember to do it).  Feel free to post comments and rate each individual hair style as they are revealed, perhaps come up with nicknames for them.

King Jeremy The Wicked

Jeremy Ratchford (Nick Vera on Cold Case) is the one key cast member of CC that we have yet to cover in these occasional updates.  Time to put that right.

Looking at Jeremy’s listing on IMDb things have been reasonably quiet on the TV and movie front for him.  Not Kathryn quiet.  More than John, but less than Danny or Tracie.

Just last week a trailer for a new movie, The New Republic, was released in which Jeremy appears briefly.  The film is about a young man “caught between political extremists and two high-ranking government agents”.  Jeremy is one of those agents.  The exact time-line of the production is not clear but the filming was likely to have been completed last year.  It received a première in June.  With the trailer out the activity on the film’s Facebook page has increased.  Something is definitely happening soon.

Earlier this year Jeremy put on his cop hat again for a guest role in the American version of Shameless, and in 2012 stars in a film called Lost On Purpose with Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm In The Middle) and C. Thomas Howell (Southland).

We all wish him well for the future.

Fan Art Update – November 2011

Lolly & IcyWinter kindly donated a set of Banners and Wallpapers for the KM UK Fan Art Gallery including several with a festive twist. Big thanks(giving) to them.

Happy Thanksgiving 2011

Kathryn’s 1987 Yearbook

young_001_windsor_locks_high_school_yearbook_1987Naj over at the Cold Case discussion board Look Again has unearthed a hidden gem from the archives of our little star.

A site dedicated to actual cold cases in Connecticut has a difficult to find page that has some photos of one of its locals that is now very much associated with cold cases.  Kathryn was a graduate of Connecticut’s Windsor Locks High School in 1987.  The site has a scan of the her entry in the school’s yearbook from 1987.

As you can see the image contains several shots of the then 18 year old Kathryn Susan Morris.  Awww.  Kathryn certainly got to achieve some of her ambitions.
