Our boy is back indeed. If the ‘boy’ in question is an English autumn. The British national holiday known as a ‘Bank Holiday’ is traditionally wet and this one is proving to be no exception. Delayed by a week (it was v. hot last Monday) and increased to two days for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee could only make matters worse. And it has.
KM UK’s Summer of HD 2012 continues with Cold Case episode 3 of season 1: Our Boy Is Back. It’s an episode also known as Useless Cats, though quite what they were expected to do is not known. Lilly and the squad face a race against time to catch a serial rapist who has returned after 5 years absent. Tipping off the squad with a letter strikes me as a bad idea if you wish to get away with a crime. Can they identify and stop him in time?
323 HD (720p) Lilly screencaps for the episode can now be found in the Gallery.
Your Royal Highness, I apologise for the short notice on this. I realise that you have a very busy super-extended weekend ahead of you due to the celebrations for your Diamond Jubilee. Hopefully you’ve managed to set your PVR to record this so you can watch it later and relax.
The TV movie Murder, She Wrote: A Story To Die For, a spin-off from the popular TV series, is being shown again on ITV here in the UK. This time it’s on ITV3 at 16:05 today (2 June 2012). In case you miss that broadcast there is a repeat at 11 o’clock tomorrow morning.
The film sees Kathryn playing Patricia Williams, the assistant to an old writing friend of Jessica Fletcher and aspiring writer herself. Patricia gets embroiled in the case of the murder of an ex-KGB author at a speakers conference.
ITV also continues to show an episode or two of the TV series each week, currently they are up to the middle of season 2.
This should not be taken as an official official confirmation but in the past few hours the IMDb page for Confections Of A Discarded Woman has been updated to include Kathryn Morris in the lead role of Desiree Harper.
Anyone can submit updates to IMDb so it could very well be one of you that entered the information and the staff of IMDb having seen the recent news reports has gone with it. Was it you?
You can find the Confections… IMDb page HERE.
Over the past year the Universal Channel in the UK has been showing Cold Case. They started with season one and by the middle of October they’d completed number 7. In between though they didn’t exactly do it all in order.
Last year just saw seasons 1 to 4 and 7 broadcast. That is somewhat contrary to what I was told originally. At the moment season 3 is getting lunchtime airings.
From the middle of next week Universal finally premières season 6. Glory Days kicks things off from Wednesday (6th June 2012) and the season continues each weekday (Monday-Friday) after that, with evening debuts and repeats the following morning.
Also, the schedule on Universal’s website shows that the final episodes of season 7 will be on at various time this weekend, they must be running a separate sequence on those two days of the week. Clearly inspired by KM UK’s Summer Of HD 2012 the following weekend it’s back to season one for them. In the UK you’re never far from an episode of Cold Case if you have access to the channel.
The Universal Channel is available to Sky satellite and Virgin Media cable subscribers. You can find more details on the their website.
A quick bit of Googling has turned up some information about the film Confections Of A Discarded Women which Kathryn has apparently been signed to star in.
- Kathryn’s character might be called Desiree Harper – how appropriate 😉
- James Best, best known as Sheriff Rosco P Coltrane on The Dukes Of Hazzard is said to co-star.
- Filming is due to be from the 4th to the 24th of June this year, that’s next Monday.
- The shoot is taking place at Castel Film Studios and on location in Bucharest, Romania.
- Director Michael Damian co-wrote the script with his wife Janeen. Michael is best known for an acting stint on soap opera The Young And The Restless but has also turned his hand to song writing, with some of his work appearing on the soundtrack of Flicka 2.
- Confections… is being made for the US TV Hallmark Channel.
- The première date is set for 2013.

We are still waiting for official confirmation of Kathryn’s participation in the film. We’ll let you know as soon as we have it.
Update (1 June 2012): Sadly it looks we all missed out on the opportunity to appear in a film that will probably star our Kathryn. Damn! I’ll explain. The Charitybuzz website had an auction in aid of The Nancy Davis Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis. This was done online over a few days in mid-May. One of the items up for bidding was a speaking role in Confections… The winner would be required to spend a couple of days in Romania, being a charity thing you’d have to pay your own expenses. You can find all the details over on the Charitybuzz website.
Also, in the past 24 hours the IMDb page for Confections… has been updated to include Irish actor Stephen Hogan in what I assume is role of the the lead character’s husband.
Update 2 (2 June 2012): Jane March (The Lover, Color Of Night), Alister Mackenzie and Catherine Hammond have been added to the cast list on IMDb. I presume that Jane March’s Lana is the acupuncturist that Desiree’s husband leaves her for.
