It’s Happened Again – Fake KM Twitter

Early on Saturday morning (UK time) another “Kathryn Morris” Twitter account was created, this time it was @_KathrynMorris.  We’ll call her “Kathryn 2”.

It looked reasonably plausible, with a photo and bio, but then so did the last one we dealt with, the now defunct @KathrynMorris_ account.

Myself and another fan, KM UK regular Kathy, conversed with “Kathryn 2” a little and I did so in private messages as well.  As before I was reserving judgement on “Kathryn 2” until I had more information to go on.  This was likely to take a few days.  Sadly, I’m not going to get that opportunity now as “Kathryn 2” suddenly closed the account, just hours after creating it.

The abrupt closure is probably a sign in of itself that the account was a fake.  The claim in the private chat of a big movie role to be announced soon should be taken with a large pinch of salt too.  Thanks to dianekmfan, another KM UK regular, for pointing out issues with the language “Kathryn 2” was using.  It was odd for a native English speaker and certainly a mark against it but we didn’t get the definite proof we got last time (when the perp dropped a real clanger when claiming where “Kathryn” was at the time) though.

Taking it all into consideration I think that it is safe to say that it was fake.  Such a shame that we didn’t get to expose it as such before that.

At least this time the faker had the good sense to stop before it went any further.  Why they didn’t apply that good sense before hand and not start it in the first place we might never know.

The thing that really puzzles me is to why someone would do this?  Based on the information they had I can only assume that they would say they are a fan of Kathryn.  Personally I don’t think that they should call themselves that.  No fan of Kathryn would try and do this to other fans.  This, for want of a better word, ‘person’ has now lost the right to take that moniker.  “Kathryn 2”, you are no fan of Kathryn!

I think some KM admirers totally hate you.  I am sure that some of them would like to find out who you really are.  Me?  I’m not angry or upset.  I’m disappointed.  Disappointed in the person behind this lie.

KM UK Chat Page – Update x2

Inspired somewhat by the wishes of a regular visitor to this site, yes you Kathy, we have added a simple chat page to KM UK.

The system is for general discussion that falls outside the scope of the regular posts like this one.  The normal site rules on etiquette and privacy apply of course.  Abuse will not be tolerated.

It is very much in beta at the moment, with aspects of it still unknown.  Its long term status is up for review at any time.  There may be issues with the way people use it or a better solution might be found.  Only time will tell.

You can find the page HERE, and there is a link to it in the menu on the right.

Update (5pm):  After much work a 2nd chat system has been added to evaluate it.  In many ways the new one is the preferred option.  Please post some test messages to it so we can how it works.  There is a “Chat 2” option in the menu on the right.

Update 2 (8:30pm):  Changes to the layout of “Chat 2” and various technical aspects has convinced me that it is the way to go.  So, “Chat 1” has been removed and replaced with “Chat 2”.  The link on the right has been updated accordingly.  The trial period is still in progress.

Cold Case S01E10 – The Hitchhiker HD Screencaps

Cold_Case_S01E10_lilly_151A young man gambles with his life.  Literally.  OK, not literally because that makes no sense in this situation.  After playing the tables in Atlantic City he was hitching a ride home when he went missing.  His body was later found in woods with a bullet to the head.  Russian roulette was not involved.

The Hitchhiker is the tenth episode of Cold Case’s first season and is the latest edition of KM UK Summer of HD 2012.

345 HD (720p) Lilly screencaps and an on set photo of Kathryn with actor Arthur Darbinyan (he played shopkeeper Ivan Medvedenko) from the episode can now be found in the Gallery.

The Coin On IMDb

imdb_logo_100x100There is no shortage of short film news today :-)

Last time we had a post like this it was for Confections Of A Discarded Woman and it was still early days and unconfirmed.  This time things are a little more certain, as we’ve already seen.

The short film The Coin, by director Fabien Martorell, has been added to IMDb.  As we discovered previously they only do this for short films once they’ve been completed.

At the time of writing Kathryn has not been added to the cast list and neither has Christopher Lloyd.  No doubt that will change very soon.  There are no plot details given so far but there are a few other interesting tidbits of information to be gleaned from the page:

  • The film is 9 minutes long
  • The release date is 17th September 2012 (a Monday)

At 9 minutes it is definitely a short film, let’s hope for 8.5 minutes of Kathryn :-)

So far I’ve been unable to determine what that release date means.  For a short film it is most likely to be a film festival or similar but it could be meaningless as it is all subject to change.

See the The Coin on IMDb.

More when we get it.

Sunday’s Mother @ Phenom Film Fest 2012

phenomfilmfest_100x150Sunday’s Mother, the short film Kathryn made last year, has been submitted to the Phenom Film Fest for 2012.

The Phenom Film Fest takes place in Bossier City, Louisiana, over four days in early September.  More information can be found on the event’s website HERE.

The film was made the “short film submission of the week” by the organisers yesterday (22 July 2012) just before the time to submit entries closed.

We will bring you more news on festival and the part Sunday’s Mother plays when we get it.

For more information on and the trailer for Sunday’s Mother, a film partly funded by KM UK and it’s readers, see previous posts.
