Everyone meet Heather. Heather, everyone. Everyone, Heather. She’s the one on the right.
“Heather Coxx” is someone KM UK met on Twitter. She has a story about meeting Kathryn and she agreed to write about it and share it with us all.
So, without further ado here is Heather in her own words:
I’m Heather Coxx, sixteen years old and born and raised in Cincinatti. I follow my lessons at the Walnut Hills High School and I’m one of the cheerleaders there!
Well, I became a fan of Kathryn Morris seven years ago, when I was nine. On a boring Sunday I watched my First Cold Case episode ever, ‘Committed’. I really liked it and couldn’t wait until the next Sunday. But when I saw ‘A Perfect Day’ I start to love Kathryn. She is an amazing actress. I wanted to know everything about her and saved every photo from her on my dads computer. I was a kind of little stalker I guess and people on school called me ‘obsessed’. Continue reading »
It’s a v.late/v.early start for Lilly and the gang when Vera calls them out to a not-so cold one. It could be a simple suicide but the victim’s ‘wall of weird’ suggests otherwise. These things are never simple in TV land.
KM UK’s Summer of HD 2012 leaves no chad hanging with Late Returns, Cold Case season 1, episode 19.
US Presidential election night 1992, Clinton/Gore vs Bush Snr/Quayle. A young campaign work is killed, body found in the river. The case hasn’t been solved, yet. Why was our new victim investigating? Political conspiracy?
On a lighter note: Rush and Kite ‘go steady’.
412 HD (720p) Lilly screencaps from the episode can now be found in the Gallery.
Picture the scene: It’s 8pm on a cool fall evening in the United States of America. Actually, I’ve no idea what the weather was like and the US is a big place. Let’s face it, conditions will not be the same in Florida as they are in Alaska. But I digress…
The day was 28th September 2003 and a new TV show was about to début on the CBS network. I think you know which one 😉
For a week or so now IMDb has been showing the film Confections Of A Discarded Woman with the alternative title of The Sweeter Side Of Life. Depending on where you are in the world you may be seeing Sweeter… as the normal title with Confections… shown as the “original title.”
KM UK learnt more than a fortnight ago that The Sweeter Side Of Life was being considered as a new title but that the final decision was still to be made. Director and co-writer (with his wife) Michael Damian‘s appearance last night on the LA Talk Radio show The Sheena Metal Experience confirmed the new title, which makes it official enough for us to post about it and update across the site accordingly. Sweeter is the new confection.
Confections…/Sweeter… is a romcom about a newly divorced trophy wife (Desiree played by Kathryn) returning to her home town and working in the family bakery. It is a TV movie due for release sometime next year by Hallmark on one of their US channels.
Only a small amount of Michael’s 45 minute-long chat with host Sheena involved the movie, most of the discussion was about his return to the daytime soap opera The Young And The Restless, which is big news apparently.
You can listen to the whole broadcast via the The Sheena Metal Experience page on the LA Talk Radio website. You want the “Wednesday, September 26, 2012” entry. Michael appears from around the 1 hour mark and mentions the film, Kathryn and co-star James Best (The Dukes Of Hazzard) 30 minutes later.
What do you think? Better title? Worse title? Fill in the poll below and let us know with a comment.
The poll closes on 11th October 2012 at 1pm UK time.
Which title do you prefer?
The Sweeter Side Of Life (71%, 10 Votes)
Confections Of A Discarded Woman (21%, 3 Votes)
I have a better one, see the comments (7%, 1 Votes)
It’s September 2012’s round-up of news regarding the other cast-members of Cold Case.
Kicking off with the ever loopy, I mean lovely, Tracie Thoms. Well, I say “loopy” because her latest film role is due to hit the big screens at the end of this month across most of the world. The film is called Looper and stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception and 3rd Rock From The Sun), Bruce Willis (Die Hard) and Emily Blunt (The Devil Wears Prada, which Tracie had small role in). Beyond what we’ve seen in the photo above, other similar ones and a handful of frames in a trailer, the extent of Tracie’s role as Beatrix is not known. Looper received it’s world première at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this month. Still no news on the release date for the kidnapped-women-forced-to-fight-each-other movie Raze that Tracie made earlier this year. And no doubt Tracie has been involved in a dozen other events and projects since our last update. She’s a very busy lady!
In the previous CCCC-up we extended the scope a little to include Veena Sud and Liz Garcia. Both women had significant behind-the-cameras positions on Cold Case and there was news of major projects for both them. Well, this time we can mention Liz’s new film The Lifeguard again as, according to IMDb, John Finn has joined the cast as “Big Jason”. Make of that what you will. It’s set for release sometime next year and stars Kristen Bell of Veronica Mars fame.
