The boss is back.
Another update on the careers of the members of the Cold Cast cast that aren’t Kathryn.
John Finn (Lt. Stillman in Cold Case) was a guest star in the most recently broadcast episode (number 7 of season 2) of the hit US drama series Homeland. At the moment we can’t comment on the exact nature of John’s role because it won’t be broadcast in the UK until Sunday (18th November 2012). Cold Case creator Meredith Stiehm wrote this one, which may help explain John’s appearance. As in many walks of life, in Hollywood it’s who you know. Let’s hope that that extends to Kathryn sometime soon. John’s other recent project, Cold Case writer/producer Liz Garcia‘s movie The Lifeguard starring Kristen Bell, is in post-production and due for release next year. Stretching the scope of the CCCC-up to beyond breaking-point KM UK offers congratulations to Kristen Bell (she was the star of our first April Fool, that’s our excuse and we’re sticking to it ) on her recently announced pregnancy.
Speaking, as we were, of Meredith Stiehm and again stepping outside of the normal CCCC-up bounds, Meredith’s adaptation of the Scandinavian drama series The Bridge continues apace. Ted Levine (Monk) and Matthew Lillard (Scooby-Doo) have joined Diane Kruger (Inglorious Basterds) in the cast. It is currently described on IMDb as a TV movie, so that probably means a feature length pilot has been ordered. If it goes well then a series could be commissioned.

It’s been a couple of months since the last one but we return to our series of posts looking back on Kathryn’s public appearances in 2007. There’s been a few recurring themes that have cropped up: festivals, premières and motorsport. This one includes none of those. We’re re-visiting charity work instead.
DKMS is a charity set up to help fight blood cancer. The unusual initialisation is because the organisation originates in Germany as the Deutsche Knochenmarkspenderdatei gGmbH. In October of 2007 they ran their annual marrow donor campaign and visited the Warner Bros. Studios where Cold Case was filming it’s 5th season. Whilst there they bumped into a particularly lovely lady.
As you can see above Kathryn posed for photos with Xander and Carrie Denke, parents of twin boys that we presume are beneficiaries of DKMS help, and other supporters. 15 large images are now in the Gallery.
You can find more information about the DKMS organisation and their good works on their website.
Prolific fan artist Kareen T has very kindly furnished KM UK with a collection of newly created items to add to our Gallery. This has allowed us to bring back the Fan Art Update for November 2012.
Thanks to Kareen T we have 19 new Avatars, four new Banners and four new Wallpapers. They are all now in the Gallery.
If you have made some Kathryn-related Fan Art and would be willing to let it be shown here on KM UK please contact me. If you are looking for subjects or themes then you might want to consider that in the coming weeks and months there is Thanksgiving, Xmas & New Year and, of course, Kathryn’s birthday in January.
The subject above largely covers this one but I’ll explain further.
In the past few days IMDb page for the new feature film starring Alex Vega (Spykids) and Spencer Grammer (Greek) 2 Br/1 Ba has had quite a few casting additions.
Kathryn has finally been added and, as first reported here on KM UK her character is called Olivia Morgan.
Amongst the other cast members recently added is Richard Riehle known for roles on Office Space and Bridesmaids. Richard must be one of the hardest working actors in Hollywood based on the huge list of films he has done and those that are yet to be released. He’s in 2 Br/1 Ba as Dr Hoffman.
Filming on 2 Br/1 Ba completed a few weeks ago and the movie is well into post-production. We’ll bring you more news on progress as we receive it.
Despite the disruption to the US East coast caused by Hurricane Sandy recently this past weekend’s Brownfish Short Film Festival in New York City went ahead largely as planned. The event ended with an awards gala (sounds grand but in reality probably just a small gathering in a bar somewhere) where the winners in seven film categories were announced.
Sadly, the short film Sunday’s Mother, starring Kathryn as the titular parent, was beaten to the Best Drama award by Tammaso Paino’s Chrome. Obviously we demand a recount! However, according to the Brownfish website Tammaso is from the UK so we can’t be too hard on him
Congratulations to all the winners.
