The Sweeter A-Side Of Life

on_set_20120605_001Recently Michael Damien, co-writer/producer/director of Kathryn’s upcoming movie The Sweeter Side Of Life, has made several references to the film’s soundtrack.

It seems that the soundtrack could be released alongside the film and that Michael himself will be singing on it.  He has recorded a song called Rock My Heart.  As well as acting in the long-running soap opera The Young And The Restless Michael has had a lot of success as a singer.  He is most associated with a cover of the David Essex song Rock On, later covered by Def Leppard amongst others.

Earlier today (UK time) composer/musician/singer/producer (does no one have just one job title these days?) John Khula released a different track made for The Sweeter Side Of Life.

The song is called Love Is Dancin’ and can be heard on the Reverbnation website.  It’s a 3 minute long up-beat ditty, much as you would expect from such a film.  Let us know what you think in the comments below.

One other piece of information to come from this is that the film could well be set for a January 2013 release.

The Sweeter Side Of Life stars Kathryn as Desiree, a newly divorced woman who returns penniless to her home town and starts working in her father’s bakery.  James Best (The Dukes Of Hazzard) co-stars.

Fan Art Update – December 2012

banner_146_500x200_lollyIt’s been a prolonged goodbye, but it hopefully won’t an extended one.

Last month, just after the previous fan art update, site-regular Lolly decided to take a break from KM UK to help her focus on other things, including her studies.  We wish her all the best for the future and hope she visits us again when she can.

She did, however, very kindly leave us a parting gift of some banners.

Lolly’s six new Banners are now in the Gallery.

If you have made some Kathryn-related Fan Art and would be willing to let it be shown here on KM UK please contact me. If you are looking for subjects or themes then you might want to consider that in the coming weeks and months there is Xmas & New Year and, of course, Kathryn’s birthday in January.

A Backwards Step Up For Kathryn

step_up_womens_network_003A couple of weeks ago Kareen_T very kindly let us know about Kathryn appearing at the Step Up Women’s Network Stepping Up In The City event.  The previous post is here.

Kathryn attendestep_up_womens_network_002d one of several Step Up Women’s Network events taking place across the USA that day (14th November 2012) to celebrate the organisation’s 15th anniversary.  More were held in the following days.

Before we only managed to get one image of Kathryn at the event but yet again Kareen_T has proved she has a real knack for tracking down more.  Thanks to her beady eye we’re able to increase our collection of images from the event by a massive 200%.  Unfortunately that only means going from just one up to three :-)

Xmas Advent Calendar 2012

It’s difficult to believe that it this has come around again so quickly.  It only seems like a few weeks ago that we opened the first “door” of the 2011 KM UK advent calendar.  It wasn’t of course :-)

Each year we have a theme for the images that are unveiled on a daily basis.  Last year it was based around Kathryn’s many hair styles from her work on both big and small screens.  So what will we be using for 2012?

Whether it was alongside the new HD Cold Case screencaps, a look back at a recent movie project or an exclusive peek at a brand new one, a particular type of image has cropped up on a regular basis across the large number of posts in the past twelve months.

Yes, the KM UK advent calendar for 2012 is all about “On Set”.  Assuming it doesn’t get forgotten, starting tomorrow (1st December 2012) a new photo will be revealed each day.  Where possible we’ve gone for images that relate, albeit very slightly in most cases, to the things this festive time should be about: family and fun.  Enjoy.

The advent calendar is now available in the Gallery.  A direct link has been added to the main menu on the right.

Paige Fortin Auction – Two Days To Go

art_for_paige_001I hope you’ve got your… errr… I have no idea what people wear or use at auctions.

Online bidding for the auction in aid of Paige Fortin comes to a close on Friday (5pm UK time, 30th November 2012).  There are multiple items of Cold Case memorabilia in the auction donated by Kathryn herself.

Rather than repeat ourselves further, look at last week’s post about his auction for more details on the reasons behind the fund raising and the items on offer.

The auction is online at the Charity Auction Organizer website.

Happy… errr… what ever is appropriate for auctions.  Gavelling?
