Officially Caught Up… ish

003The Official Kathryn Morris Facebook page and Twitter feed was up late last night.  It must have been bit tired and confused because it did something very uncharacteristic: posted some news.  It has been almost exactly a year since the last output.

And what pearl of wisdom did the apparently official mouthpiece of the actress, which you’d think would have direct access to said mouth, have to bestow upon us mere mortals?  Kathryn’s pregnant.  With twins.  Something I believe was widely reported when Us Magazine and father-to-be Johnny Messner himself broke the news back in… ooh, when was it now… early April.

Let’s hope, for Kathryn’s sake, that the babies’ arrival is not so delayed.

Give it a few months and “they” will probably tell us about Kathryn signing up for the been, done and gone Surgeon General pilot (early March), or producing and starring in the forthcoming movie project Alice Sweet Alice (news from mid-April).

Of course you can get all this information in a much more timely fashion on one of the several Facebook pages that gets their content from this site.  Or save yourself a click by coming straight to KM UK.

On a connected note: a few weeks ago the Official KM website went into under construction “we’ll be back” mode.  Expecting a major revamp it was a surprise to see the site return some days later with just a picture, a contact form and a couple of links.  All in the same style as before.

As those behind the Official sites were also responsible for promoting Cougars, Inc. we have nothing to worry about…

The Sweeter Side Of Life DVD Box Art

Nearly two months a go now KM UK broke the news of The Sweeter Side Of Life‘s DVD release in the US.  We followed that up with a link to Amazon’s listing of the disc, which should make it easier for anyone outside of America to order it if they wish.

dvd_cover_002In the past couple of weeks the director of the film, Michael Damian, started promoting the release on Twitter and the official Facebook page for the film.  We’ve no idea where he gets his info from 😉  The online shops he has linked to agree with the 16th July 2013 launch date we originally reported.

Here, in no particular order, are a few of the major online US retailers with The Sweeter Side Of Life available for pre-order on DVD:

Prices (at time of going to press) on those sites range from $10.81 to $13.44, excluding shipping and taxes.  No doubt it will be available from all good retailers, and some rubbish ones too :-)  Those outside the US can use a local Amazon account to order from the American region site.

We’ve been able to obtain a hi-res version of the “3D” box art image (right) you will see on some of those sites.  A copy has now been added to the Gallery.

If you are not in the US and see the film on sale in your region please let us know in a comment or via the Contact form.

Cold Case Cast Catch-up – May 2013

tracie_thoms_001_430x180We’re cutting it a bit fine this month! :-)

A week after our CCCC-up for April 2013 the US TV network NBC announced that Law & Order: Special Victims Unit would be renewed for a 15th season.  Danny Pino (Scotty Valens in Cold Case) will be continuing in his post-Cold Case role of Det. Nick Amaro.  The order is a for a full 22 episode season.  Last year the same thing happened and two more episodes were added later.  The pick-up for L&O:SVU‘s 14th season was much in doubt with lead actress Mariska Hargitay and the studio playing chicken in a chicken-and-egg situation to see who jumped first.  Without Mariska’s signature would the network agree to a new season?  But unless there was the promise of a new season why would Mariska sign?  That was sorted out but this time things were different.  The show was renewed while negotiations continued with Mariska.  On Monday (27th May 2013) it was announced that she would be returning.  Good news for all her and the show’s many fans.

Cold Case S02E04 – The House Full HD Screencaps

Cold_Case_S02E04_lilly_008Prison Break, Cold Case-style.

Bones found just outside the walls of an old jail point to an inmate that tried to escape.  Or do they?  And is there is long standing deception at the heart of this 1968 case?  That would be “no” and “yes”, obviously :-)

Music is brought to the fore in this episode with the clever tying together of the case and the single artist used throughout the episode.  The crime is set on the day (13th January 1968) that Johnny Cash recorded his live album At Fulsom Prison, performing in front of inmates at the jail.  Half the tracks used in The House were in the set list of the concert.

Future Castle star Seamus Dever made one of his earlier TV appearances in this episode.

This, the latest entry in the KM UK Summer Of HD 2013 brings 259 Full HD (1080p) Lilly screencaps to the Gallery.

In 2006 She Went A Little Bit Country

portraits_09Prompted by a question raised by site regular Kathy we’ve delved back into the archives for a very timely update.

It was on this day (23rd May 2006) seven years ago that Kathryn attended the Academy Of Country Music Awards.  The ACMAs are not to be confused with other country music awards with similar acronyms such as the Country Music Awards.  What ever happened to the “western” part anyway?  Don’t they do both types of music any more?

It looks like it was quite a full evening for Kathryn.  It started with arriving in an American sub-compact… OK, that’s clearly a lie.  It started many hours earlier with her getting ready for the event (as women are wont to do) and involved a ridiculously long, gold painted stretched limo.  Like Kathryn needed such a “look at me” vehicle when she stepped out of the car looking like that!  Yowza!  Extra points if you can leave a comment naming the make of dress and monkey-logoed purse.

press_room_006Getting out of a limo has a nasty habit of leading to a red carpet and sure enough it happened here.  After that you can’t avoid having a portrait photo session, attending a music awards ceremony, going on stage to give an award and being photographed some more but this time with various products.  Tough day.  Do you think Kathryn was supposed to be putting on the clothes and walking off with them?  😮

So, 26 new(ish) photos have now been added to the Gallery to help further illustrate the points made above.  Ten in the arrivals section.  One update (it’s bigger of course) to photo number 6 in the press room set.  And, a bakers dozen (that’s 13) in the new Distinctive Assets At The ACMA sub-album.

Plus, we have a very, very short video of Kathryn presenting the Best Album award to… you’ll have to watch to find out :-)
