L.A. Firefighters

Firefighters was a short-lived TV series from 1996.  The show followed the lives of, believe it or not, a company of firefighters in the Los Angeles Fire Department.  The presence of female fire officers in such a male dominated environment being a key issue they dealt with.

Only the first season’s six episodes ever aired.  The real L.A. Firefighters Union were none too pleased at the they way were portrayed and disassociated themselves from the show.  A reworking for the second season, including a name change to  Fire Co. 132, came to nought and it was never broadcast.  The first season has rarely, if ever, been repeated.

Kathryn was in three episodes from that first season playing a woman called Helen Regan.  Helen was the wife of one of the crew killed in the line of duty at the end of the pilot episode.  In the trio episodes Helen attends the funeral of her husband and spends time with another fireman, Jack, who has decided to look after his departed colleague’s widow and children.  She then announces she is leaving for Seattle to live near her brother.

A very small collection of small screencaps has been in the Gallery for some time but I have now added a few more and organised them by episode.  Sadly the additions are even smaller and of lower quality than the existing ones, but many thanks to our friends at The Elizabeth Mitchell Fan Club for kindly donating them.  Elizabeth, best known now for her role in Lost, starred as the wife of a fireman in L.A. Firefighters.

Cold Case Virtual Season 8 Première

Last year, after the cancellation of Cold Case, a group of fans on the Look Again forum decided to write their own season 8.  That work has come to fruition and the results are now being made available with the season première yesterday.

Our first episode in Cold Case’s virtual season eight is now available!

Lilly and the squad reopen the case of a CIA agent who retired at the end of the Cold War, only to be murdered in a park in 1993, when new evidence comes to light that robbery may not have been the motive. As they delve deeper into the case, they soon learn that even retired spies have secrets, and that the man’s co-workers and even his own family may know more than their letting on. Meanwhile, as Lilly gets ready for a new chapter, working for the FBI, she begins to have second thoughts as she she realizes she’ll be leaving behind more than just her job. The music of REM is played throughout the episode. Part 1 of 2.

In the coming weeks we’ll publish further episodes featuring Cold Cases from all eras (including a case from 1926). Highlights include:

  • Lilly must choose between working in the FBI and staying with Stillman’s team
  • Scotty deals with fallout from his involvement in Jimmy Mota’s murder
  • The return of former Deputy Commissioner Patrick Doherty
  • We learn more about the extended Rush- Cooper family

Congratulations to all involved for making this happen.  It’s a shame that I can’t make screencaps from it :-)  I’ve added a link in the menu on the right to the CC VS8 site.

Any chance there’ll be a story line about a suave Englishman sweeping Lilly off her feet? :-)

Cold Case S07E22 – Shattered Full HD Screencaps

It’s the end of the end for Cold Case.

Lilly and Scotty go on the hunt for Christina.  The rest of the squad break a few rules to solve an Will’s own cold case.  And Lilly gets a new addition to her increasingly back together family.

Cold Case S07E21 – Almost Paradise Full HD Screencaps

FBI guys are put to one side as Christina shows up looking for help but Lilly’s not feeling very sisterly.  Meanwhile the case of the week (albeit a week from 1989) involves the death of a prom queen, which must be the most dangerous job in America.

Silk Stalkings Videos – Update
