Cold Case S01E02 – Gleen HD Screencaps

Cold_Case_S01E02_lilly_144This website’s powers have reached new levels!  Starting of our KM UK Summer of HD 2012 last week clearly had a profound effect on the English weather with some of the warmest conditions in a long, long time hitting the country the past few days.  I fear that it is set to end very soon though.  The temperatures have already started dropping and with the double whammy of daring to talk about a mini-heatwave (for UK that is) and next week’s national holiday (marking the Queen of England’s accession to the throne) we will likely be knee deep in snow by the weekend 😕

Where were we?  Oh yes, episode two of Cold Case season one (the first one I saw due managing to forget to watch episode one all those years ago 😡 ) is Gleen.  Named after a made-up-for-the-show washing powder, Gleen involved the case of a woman killed by a bomb hidden inside a box of the titular cleaning product.

PPD weapons and fire-arms expert, and fan favourite Louie Amante makes his first appearance on Cold Case in this one.  Louie and Lilly have clearly known each other for a while and their banter was always an amusing highlight to any episode he starred in.  We saw Louie a further five times across Cold Case’s run, his last being Two Weddings in which the squad attended Louie’s own wedding.

370 HD (720p) new Lilly screencaps and 4 promo photos for the episode can now be found in the Gallery.

Cold Case S01E01 – Look Again HD Screencaps

Cold_Case_S01E01_lilly_387KM UK’s Summer of HD 2012 gets off to a damp start.  Entirely appropriate for an English summer :-)

Yes, for 2012 we are going back to the very beginning, back to Cold Case season 1.  Did you guess correctly?

In the very first episode, Look Again, after visiting a fresh crime scene Detective Lillian Rush gets involved in solving an old case from 1976, and she’s not best pleased about it.

Looking again (see what I did there?) at this pilot episode you can see that the show did not quite have the structure we became so familiar with.  The flashbacks are very brief and it is wall-to-wall Lilly (a good thing :-) ) with Kathryn in practically every scene.

Also, Danny Pino’s makeup artist must have been different because he looks so different :-)  I joke of course.  Justin Chambers starred as Det. Chris Lassing in 3 of the first 4 episodes.  We don’t get introduced to Scotty Valens until later in the season.

398 HD (720p) new Lilly screencaps and an updated promo image from Look Again can now be found in the Gallery.

It’s Been 2 Years

Today marks the 2nd anniversary of the end of Cold Case.

The final two episodes (Almost Paradise and Shattered) of the much loved CBS drama series aired in the USA on the 2nd of May 2010.  They completed a 7 season long run totalling 156 episodes.

As we know Danny Pino (Scotty Valens in CC) has gone on to star in the most recent season of the ABC show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.  We are still waiting for news on its renewal for 2012/2013.  Most of the rest of the core cast have made guest appearances on other TV shows or had small roles in movies.  See KM UK’s “Other Cold Case Cast & Crew” posts category for more details.

Kathryn has been something of the exception.  Her non-appearance in Moneyball and role in a short film Sunday’s Mother, which premièred yesterday, has been the extent of of her on camera work.  And her public appearances have been “limited” to put it mildly.

Cold Case S04E11 – The Red And The Blue Full HD Screencaps

Cold_Case_S04E11_lilly_146As Britain suffers a typically “interesting” (as in wet, windy and cold) attempt at Spring we take another look at what could have been during last year’s KM UK Summer of HD.  We didn’t quite manage to cover the whole of Cold Case season 4.  One of the few missing episodes was number 11, The Red And The Blue.  Not any more.

And you know what that means:  Road Trip!

The murder of a Country & Western singer (yes, they do both kinds!) in Philly sees Lilly volunteer to go to Nashville to investigate.  Scotty draws the short straw and has to accompany her.  Short straw!?!?  Seriously?!?!  The rest of gang continue inquiries at home.

Scotty does some horsing around with a LEO, which leads to a great scene between him and Lilly (pictured above)  The episode is full of fun moments.  Yeehaw!

231 Full HD (1080p) Lilly screencaps from the episode can now be found in the Gallery.

WB TV Exhibit At The Paley Center – Update

television_out_of_the_box_poster_137x189Warner Bros. Television, in association with the Paley Center For Media, has created an interactive multimedia exhibition called Television Out Of The Box.

Open for the next 3 years, the museum in Beverly Hills, California, covers some of the best known TV shows from the past 6 decades.  Sets, props, costumes and much more from shows like Friends, ER, Smallville, The Big Bang Theory and Fringe have been put on display to the public.

And the reason for mentioning it here on KM UK?  Cold Case is one of the many shows made by Warner Bros. Televsion.

Cold Case is briefly mentioned on the Paley Center website but no detail is given about what, if anything, from the show might there.  It is planned that the content of the exhibition will be changed regularly.

You can find more details, including opening times and ticket prices, on the WB Exhibit page of the Paley Center website.

If you get a chance to visit the museum please let us know what it was like.

What from Cold Case would you like to see at the exhibition?  Lilly’s hair extensions?  Nick’s cut necktie?  Scotty’s bruised knuckles?  Will’s record collection?  John’s age-jumping daughter?  :-)  Leave your suggestions in the comments below.

tv_out_of_the_box_001Update (15 Apr 2012):  I found an article on the Examiner.com website by Danielle Turchiano (LA TV Insider @ Examiner) about the exhibition.  You can read the article in full HERE.  The piece has a slideshow of photos taken by Danielle, which includes a shot of Lilly’s badge and ID card.

Very generously Danielle has allowed me to post a large copy of the photo (seen on the left) here on KM UK.  You can find it in the Gallery (in a new Miscellaneous – Exhibitions section).

Danielle also let me know that Lilly’s pistol in its holster is part of the display.  From the photo I think you can also see the edge of a bit of cold case paper work and the top of a mobilephone.  Lilly went through a variety of cellphones (to use the American vernacular) during Cold Case’s run but the blue one in the photo looks like an early season 7 model seen in episodes like Hoodrats.  Lilly was receiving worrying cryptic messages and photos which turned out to be from Eddie.
