A quick update following on from the previous one about day 2 of the Sundance Film Festival in 2007.
We are still on the same day as the Village At The Lift Lounges event but this time Kathryn’s caught on camera out and about on Park City’s Main Street. You can just about make out the same grey top she was wearing in the Lounges under her coat and scarf.
Sadly it is just one smallish image (now to be found in the Gallery) but when it is of such a beautiful lady smiling so much who can possibly resist 😀
Pics from day 3 tomorrow.
Seven months ahead of its proper August release, the movie Resurrecting The Champ was premièred in January of 2007 at the Sundance Film Festival. In one swoop we’ve managed to pick up two elements from our recent thread of recurring themes: festivals and RTC
Before and after that screening Kathryn spent time attending various promotional events. Day 2 of the festival (January the 19th, Kathryn’s first day out and about) saw her at the Village At The Lift Festival Lounges in Park City. Kathryn perused the goods being touted and perhaps picking up a few freebies. Exactly what she borrowed/stole/bought/was gifted is not known, some things have to stay, as the French might say “le mystère” 😉
Alora Ambiance, DermaNew, Earth Shoes, Habitual, Kératase, Le Mystère, Linea Pelle, L’Oreal, Mr Men & Little Miss Philips, Portolano, Napapijri, North Face, Microsoft and Zissou & Spike were all companies that had the pleasure of Kathryn’s company.
We now have 39 small images in the Gallery. They are split into sub-albums based on the “lounge” involved. There are so many good shots ripe for captioning that I could not resist including a bumper crop of thumbnails below
We’ll be covering the other days of the 2007 Sundance festival in later posts.
Cold Case might be big in Japan. Kathryn might be big in Japan. However, in June of 2007 Kathryn’s dresses certainly weren’t
The day before the Cold Case promo event in Tokyo (posted about last month), in which Kathryn wore a very slight number, she was strutting her stuff on the red carpet in something of similar surface area. Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix, which I believe was the 5th in the enormously successful series, received its world-wide première in Japan on June 28th 2007, almost a week before the UK event. Am I the only person in the world to have never read an HP book?
Our look back through 2007 has had a multitude of recurring themes (Resurrecting The Champ, premières, Cold Case, festivals and motor sport amongst them). Now we have to add short dresses. With this event, the Cold Case promo, the Monte Carlo TV Festival reception, the Vegas GP Gala and the Resurrecting The Champ première it must have been one of the shortest years on record!
Anyway, Kathryn looks great with her hair up in her very complicatedly colourful dress. Very glam.
We have just 3 photos for our first posting on this event, but 2 of them you may not have seen before. They are in the Gallery now.
Thanks to Megapixie for number 3 (the one on the right).
It’s early March 2012 so what could be more appropriate than photos of Kathryn attending the première of the movie Fred Claus in November 2007
We return to our look back of Kathryn’s public appearances in 2007. It’s not a festival. It’s not motor racing. It’s not even related to Resurrecting The Champ. It did involve promoting a movie though, just not one she actually starred in, so we’ve not strayed too far from our recurring themes
Kathryn looks great in her simple jeans, t-shirt, jacket and back ensemble. Throw in an equally understated makeup finish and you’ve got near perfection. Such a natural beauty.
To add to the 63 photos we already had there are 14 more mixed-sized photos in the Gallery.
“Wow” I hear you say. And say it you should, though “WOWOW” would be more appropriate
So far in our look back to Kathryn’s public appearances in 2007 we’ve covered a variety of recurring and often interlinking topics. This time we introduce two more: Cold Case and Japan.
Although both of those themes are different from those we’ve discussed before (motorsport, Resurrecting The Champ and the Monte Carlo TV festival) it still sort of ties-in. This is like a festival, it’s about TV and the car Kathryn drove in Long Beach (a Toyota) was Japanese.
In early summer of 2007, 29th of June to be precise, Kathryn was in Tokyo to promote Cold Case on the WOWOW TV network in Japan. In case you are unable to I’ve read what it says on the end of those cardboard file boxes pictured behind Kathryn and deduced that they are talking about Cold Case season 3. I know, I’m a fricking genius!
What can I say about that outfit? OK, let me re-phrase that. What can I say about that outfit that won’t get me in trouble? Kathryn, of course, looks stunning in her almost lighter-than-air pink dress, brown and green scarf(?), and strappy silver shoes, but it is those legs that really steal the show. Wowowza! I’m not sure that the very short dress was chosen with the knowledge that she’d sitting on a high stool on a stage though. If any of our Japanese readers were sitting in the front row and had their cameraphone with them please contact me 😉 Seriously. Call me!
Amazingly this event has evaded the KM UK Gallery since opening but we’ve put that right in style today with 48 medium-sized photos added to the Gallery. We still have a huge amount of other updates planned.
If you’d like to see that outfit in action you can see brief clips of Kathryn entering the venue for this event at the beginning of several videos we have of promotional interviews she did for WOWOW TV. They are in the Gallery here. We have rabi to thank for them.
