KM UK’s Summer Of HD for 2014 starts next week. Excited yet? The poll for week one was won (try saying that quickly) by Willkommen. Thank you for taking part. Come back next week to see that. Today we start the voting for the episode to be posted in week 2. Which of these 3 episodes will you choose?
I’m hearing “bad news” so bad news it is. Last year’s Summer Of HD was based around season 2 of Cold Case because you, dear reader, chose it in a poll. I’ve got the post to prove it, so don’t deny it. The bad news is it that that means you get season 3 this year. The good news is that KM UK’s Summer Of HD for 2014 is all about season 3 of Cold Case As most of you will be familiar with by now the Summer Of HD is a chance to revisit Cold Case and update the site’s Gallery with new HD screencaps covering Kathryn’s role of Lilly in the show. Along the way they’ll be a few extras thrown in. In a new twist for 2014 you get to decide which CC episodes we do. OK, we’re still doing them all but you get to have some say in the order they are posted. Yay! for you! Each week there will be poll with three episodes to chose from. The poll will run for one week and the winning episode featured the week after that. So, this week we run the poll for Summer Of HD week 1. Chose your favourite from the three below. Next week come back to vote for week 2. Seven days later the first of our episodes posts will include the poll for week 3. Got it? Then let us begin our journey:
The poll has now closed and your votes have been totted up. Cold Case season 2 is the winner. It was a close result with 57% for season 2 against 43% for season 3. Posts covering every episode of that season will begin in a couple of weeks so look out for them. Hopefully the new images will spark a few memories of your favourite episodes and maybe inspire some new fan art creations that you would allow us to share with everyone here on KM UK. There is one slight issue we need to settle before then though: we can’t decide which season of Cold Case to create new HD screencaps from. Should it be season 2 or season 3? Last year we went back to the beginning with season 1. Do we carry on to season 2 or jump ahead to season 3? We are going to leave it to you, our dear readers, to decide. Use the poll below to register your preference. The winner will be first the past the post. Leave us a comment to explain your choice. The poll will be open until 12 noon UK time on the 22nd April 2013. In the event of a tied score we will be using the number of votes in the comments as a tie breaker. If that still leaves no winner then the judges will choose one.

On Monday the results were posted and it was, sadly, not good news for Kathryn. The foreign actress category that Kathryn featured in was won by Stana Katic from Castle. She took the prize by 4.5% from Jennifer Morrison of Once Upon A Time. Kathryn didn’t make the top 3. And we thought the French people really liked her. Nathon Fillon, also of Castle, took first place in the equivalent male category, beating out competition from Hugh Laurie (House) and Simon Baker (The Mentalist). Clearly the French people do like Castle, and why not, it is a very good show. However, Esprits Criminels, which we believe is Criminal Minds, just pipped Castle to the foreign TV show award by 0.5%.
