Moneyball World Première On 9th September

The Toronto International Film Festival has made further announcements regarding the movies they will be showing during their 10 day festival.

Moneyball is due to première on Friday the 9th of September at 6:30pm at the Roy Thomson Hall.  Moneyball is one of the special gala events.

A list of actors and guests has also been released.  Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Robin Wright are all down as being attendees, not necessarily just for Moneyball.  Sadly Kathryn is not included.  Of course, these things are subject to change.

The Toronto International Film Festival runs from the 8th to the 18th of September.  You can find more details on TIFF on their website HERE.  Moneyball gets its general release in North America on September 23rd. It is scheduled for the UK a couple of months later.

Moneyball World Première On 8th September?

We already know that Moneyball is due to get its world première as a gala event at the Toronto International Film Festival.  The festival runs from the 8th to the 18th of September.

What hasn’t been announced yet is the exact schedule for the festival.  However, the actor Casey Bond, who stars in Moneyball, may have let slip the date of the Moneyball’s first screening in a recent interview.  Casey was chatted with Maximo TV at last night’s (8th August) première for the comedy movie 30 Minutes Or Less.

It may be a mistake, he may mean that it premières at the festival which starts on the 8th, but Casey does state that the world première will be on the 8th of September.  That would make it the opening event of the whole festival.  Brad Pitt, no doubt accompanied by Angelina Jolie, on the red carpet would certainly start the festival off with a bang.

You can find the video of Casey Bond’s interview with Maximo TV HERE on YouTube.

Moneyball gets its general release in North America on September 23rd.  It is scheduled for the UK a couple of months later.

Moneyball To Première At TIFF

moneyball_poster_002It has been announced that the Brad Pitt movie Moneyball, which may or may not feature Kathryn Morris, is to get its world première at the Toronto International Film Festival in early September.  Due for general release in the US on September 23rd Moneyball will feature in the Canadian event which runs from the 8th to the 18th.

The Moneyball première will be a gala event.  A ball for Moneyball :-)

Details can be found on the TIFF website.

Another poster graphic has been added to the Gallery.

Hotplate Goes Cold?

Artist extraordinaire Smallbarbie has turned supersleuth again by tracking down another lead.

According to the information Smallbarbie found on the TradeMarkia website, Kathryn’s Hotplate Productions company has not renewed the trademark on its name as per the normal 6 month schedule.  The last update was in November last year.

First registered in June 2007, the trademark has lapsed into an “abandoned” state after no extension was filed last month.  This could be the result of an oversight, it has been correctly done previously, but it could also be deliberate.  We’ve not heard of any new projects from Hotplate since this site exclusively revealed that the TV show Sendera, a co-production with Eva Longoria’s company, was not picked up by the ABC network earlier this year.

Hotplate Productions was original formed by Kathryn with her then partner, Cold Case producer/director, David Barrett.

What this could mean for Kathryn’s plans to work more behind the cameras is not clear.  Of course, we here at KM UK wish her the best in all her future endeavours.

Thanks to Smallbarbie for the heads-up.

Sunday’s Mother – It’s A Wrap

Sunday Marks imageIt has been announced on the Sunday Marks Facebook page that the filming on Sunday’s Mother has been completed.  A very late finish for everyone on a Sunday night in LA.  “It’s a wrap”, as they say.

Earlier, Kathryn’s co-star Brian Norris (starring as Roger the bully) sent a Tweet about filming the “Martini Shot”.  I was not familiar with the term so thanks to Smallbarbie for setting me straight.  It means the last scene to be filmed that day.  It being the last day of the 3 day shoot makes it the final scene to be filmed (which of course is not necessarily the finale of the movie as they don’t tend to shoot in order).

Here at KM UK we hope the filming process went well, I gather that they did, and we look forward to seeing the results.
