A Real Kathryn Twitter Account?

003I’ve been tracking this for a few days but it looks like the cat (pun slightly intended) is out of the bag.

It appears that the Twitter account @Real_KMorris has been created by/for Kathryn.  It could be fake but the avatar image used (see right) is a photo we’ve never seen before, lending it some credibility.

The Twitter account profile has a link to an official website, which currently just shows a holding page.  The domain name has existed for nearly 4 months now.

My thinking so far is that these have been set up by representatives of Kathryn, fully in her knowledge of course, and are the beginning of an increase in such activity.  But at this stage we don’t know for certain.

Watch this space for more news.

Links to the Twitter account and website have been added to the menu on the right.

ION Television Acquires Cold Case

ion_television_logo_150x96.pngHopefully this means something to those of you on the relevant side of the Atlantic.  I’ll keep it brief.

ION Television in the USA has announced that it has acquired the rights to broadcast all 7 seasons of Cold Case.

The deal with Warner Bros. sees ION adding Cold Case to its current roster of dramas in the first quarter of 2012.

Moneyball Confirmed For Jan 10th DVD

blu-ray_001Confirming our report from Saturday Moneyball is set for a home entertainment release on January 10th in the US of A.

DVD, Blu-ray and a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack will be available of the movie that tells the story of Billy Beane’s (Brad Pitt) usage of statistics to improve the odds for the Oakland A’s baseball team.

The reported extras for the DVD include:

  • Blooper-Brad Loses It
  • Billy Beane: Re-Inventing the Game
  • Moneyball: Playing The Game

The Blu-ray version also adds:

  • Adapting Moneyball
  • Drafting The Team
  • Moneyball PS3 Wallpaper/Theme

Nothing there screams Kathryn’s scenes that were cut so we are left guessing for a little longer.

More info can be found on Blu-ray.com, amongst others.

Update:  You can now find the DVD, Blu-ray and Blu-ray/DVD combo available for pre-order on the US Amazon.com site.

Moneyball Set For January DVD Release?

blu-ray_001Movie news and reviews website DVDizzy.com is reporting that Moneyball is expected to get a DVD and Blu-ray release on the 10th of January 2012 in North America.

We know that Kathryn is not in the film in its released form.  However, director Bennett Miller has discussed having shot a lot of additional footage that didn’t make the cut, and that it is likely to be used as part of the extra features on the home release.  So far there is no news as to what the extras will be but hopefully this means we will finally get to see Kathryn’s scenes with Brad when the discs hit the shops.

Until now I had not heard of the DVDizzy site but it has apparently been around for along time (in Internet terms at least) in its earlier incarnation as Ultimate Disney and is highly regarded.

Moneyball is due to start showing in UK cinemas on November 25th.

Kathryn’s Moneyball Scenes To Be Extras?

screenshot_001The Collider.com website has posted a video interview they did with Moneyball director Bennett Miller at the Toronto International Film Festival.  Bennett is asked about the amount of footage he shot that didn’t make it into the film and whether those scenes would end up as part of the DVD release, either as “deleted scene” extras or a director’s cut restoring it to its original place.  His response is that there is around 20 minutes of footage, including “whole storylines”, and that it will likely be used as an extra feature.

Miller doesn’t describe the exact content of these scenes so we don’t know at this stage whether we’ll finally get to see Kathryn in her role as Billy Beane’s second wife Tara.  Fingers crossed.

You can see the interview on Collider.com.

Thanks to IcyWinter for the heads-up.

Update (26 Sept):  Moneyball has been given a 12A certificate for its UK cinema release.
