Bone Tomahawk Goes Beyond… Fest

beyond_fest_1023x1462Things have been getting busy ’round these parts, haven’t they?

October was already starting with a lot of Bone Tomahawk but now there is going to be even more.

The movie’s première is on the 1st at Fantastic Fest, and there are follow-up screenings at Popcorn Frights is on the 4th, and over in England for the 10th and 11th.

Prior to that trans-Atlantic journey Bone Tomahawk will be heading home to Los Angeles for Beyond Fest.

The event runs from the 1st to the 12th at the Egyptian Theatre, but the horror Western movie will be screened on the 6th at 7:30pm.

Writer director S. Craig Zahler and Matthew Fox (Lost) are said to be attending the show.  Hopefully some of the other cast members will be making an appearance… pretty please!

As per usual the full details can be found HERE on the official website.

Bone Tomahawk opens for general release in the USA on October 23rd.

Bone Tomahawk In UK At BFI Film Fest

bfi_film_fest_756x538The Western is heading East.

Horror movie Bone Tomahawk is rapidly approaching a busy beginning to October.  After premièring at the Fantastic Fest in Texas on the 1st, and following that up three days later closing Miami’s Popcorn Frights Film Festival, a week later sees the first of two screenings of the film in London, England.

The BFI (British Film Institute) is holding a major film festival starting on October 7th.  Within the event are a series of galas covering a wide variety of different genres and themes.

The festival opens with the world première of the new Suffragette film starring Carey Mulligan, Helena poster_002_1000x1477Bonham Carter, and Meryl Streep, and closes with a UK première of the Danny Boyle/Aaron Sorkin sort-of biopic Steve Jobs starring Michael Fassbender and Kate Winslet.  There are a huge number of other films, many of them premières, happening over the twelve day long event.

Bone Tomahawk turns up in the ‘Cult Gala’ on Saturday the 10th at the world famous Odeon Leicester Square, host to many a world première over the years.  The screening starts at 9:15pm.  The following day at 14:15pm there’s a repeat showing at the same venue.

Tickets will be on sale from September 17th via the BFI website HERE.

Bone Tomahawk opens for general release in the USA on October 23rd.

Also, I’ve added a new, larger version of the 2nd poster (first posted here) to the Gallery.

Bone Tomahawk US DVD Release Date?

poster_002_612x904This could easily be one of those nothing stories but we’ll go with it for now.

The 29th of December to be precise.

As of writing the pre-order price is $27.97.

Bone Tomahawk‘s US cinema release is set for 23rd October.

2nd Poster For Bone Tomahawk

poster_002_612x904Alongside a brief interview with writer/director S Craig Zahler, focused on how Kurt Russell signed-up for his role in the forthcoming horror western Bone Tomahawk, a new poster was released by Entertainment Weekly.

You can read the full article here.

Hopefully a larger, better quality version of the image will be released soon.  I’ll replace the one you see above with it when it is.  The one you can see above is available full size in the Gallery of course.

The film is due for a theatrical release in the US in late October, after premièring at the Fantastic Fest event a few weeks previously.

KM UK is working bringing you some video footage from the film.

Update (1 Sept):  A new, larger version of the poster has been added to the Gallery.

Bone Tomahawk Gets A Release Date?

poster_001_1014x1500It’s been a busy week on KM UK with some big news and here’s a bit more.

The long-running horror news website Fangoria is reporting that Bone Tomahawk will be released on the 23rd of October of this year, three weeks after its premiere at the Fantastic Fest event.

Presumably this is a date for a US cinema launch, though it does suggest the rest of the world could see it by the end of the year.

You can read Michael Gingold’s piece on the Fangoria website HERE.

As an aside, Michael is the co-writer of the Alice Sweet Alice remake Kathryn was reported to be starring in.  It’s all gone quiet on that front but it could still happen.

For those wanting more detail on the story of Bone Tomahawk you can read the Fantastic Fest website description HERE.  Be warned, it is quite detailed (though it does not mention Kathryn’s character) so if you don’t want to be spoiled…

Thanks to Fate815 for the heads-up.
