Kathryn & Johnny Expecting Twins

20130408_us_magazine_kathryn_pregnant_001Us Magazine has published an exclusive story that Kathryn and Johnny Messner, her boyfriend of 3 years, are expecting twin babies in September.

“We’re beyond excited and doubly blessed!” the happy couple told Us of their twins-to-be. Morris, 44, is best known for her role as Detective Lilly Rush on the now-defunct hit CBS series, which came to an end in 2010.

The picture is proof enough it is not a made up tabloid story and Johnny has Tweeted about it saying:

Happiest man in the World.  2 Dirty Messner boys on there way!!!! – Link

KM UK wishes all four of them the very best.  Let’s just hope they inherit their looks from their mother as well as their brains :-)

Kathryn @ Deer Valley Skifest – December 2007 – Update

celebrity_skifest_002Even all this time the year 2007 is still proving fertile ground for Kathryn sightings.  Just two weeks ago we covered another one that had come to our attention.

In what must have been one of the most hectic years in Kathryn’s life she managed to squeeze in over 30 public appearances, filming the equivalent of a whole season of Cold Case (the end of season 4 and the beginning of 5), and she filmed her scenes for The Assassination Of A High School President.  That’s quite a journey.  However, if you only looked at where Kathryn started and ended 2007 you’d almost think she hadn’t moved at all.

Mid-January 2007 saw Kathryn attend the Sundance Film Festival to promote her latest project, the movie Resurrecting The Champ starring Josh Hartnett and Samuel L Jackson.  Sundance is held in Park City, Utah every year.  In early December 2007 Kathryn was back in Park City, but this time it was for the annual Skifest event in the nearby Deer Valley resort.

The Skifest is a pro-celebrity skiing contest in aid of Waterkeeper Alliance, an organisation dedicated to protecting clean water sources around the world.  It is held every year in early December and marks the start of the ski season and the opening of the resort.  Alongside the actual skiing there are a lot of après-ski events such as a musical concert given by one of the celebrity guests.  The event has it’s own website here.

It hasn’t been particularly easy to narrow the event to 2007 as Kathryn has not featured much and lots of the celebrities have attended multiple times, making it difficult to guess the year.  After some exhaustive searching we are now certain of the year.  Kathryn does not appear to have taken part in the skiing competition that forms the backbone of the event.  Instead she was there to support the stars of other CBS TV shows Dylan Bruno from Numb3rs (above left) and Eric Close from Without A Trace (above right).  CBS covers the Skifest with a highlights/infomericial show a week or two later.  The photo below left shows Kathryn being interviewed by someone from CBS.  If you have a copy of the TV show from 2007 then please contact us.

In the the Gallery there is now 3 pictures from the event and a page from the December 2008 edition of CBS’s Watch magazine.  The magazine photo is just an illustration for the mention of the upcoming 2008 event.  Yes, we know, 3 of the 4 are basically the same image just cropped differently.  Beggars can’t be choosers and all that.

Thank you to Kareen_T for persevering in contacting KM UK about this.

Update (22 Feb 2013):  We have an extra photo to add to the Gallery (the right-hand thumbnail below).  The very visible time-stamp confirms that it was taken on the 12th of September 2007.  Wait!  What?  Damn Americans and their bizarre date formats!  It’s the 9th of December really.

Grand Prix For The Petite Dame?

rtl_le_grand_prix_des_series_tv_2013_150x94Our friends to south of the English Channel (they probably have a different name for it) are holding an annual competition about the TV shows and actors they like.  They get a chance to vote for Kathryn.

The French TV station RTL and the weekly Télé 2 semaines magazine are running various polls to determine the fans’ favourite actors, actresses and TV shows.  There are actually categories of each type to native French and foreign entries separately.

Kathryn gets a look-in as a foreign actress for her lead role Cold Case.  Obviously Cold Case is not made any more but these polls are based around broadcasts in France during 2012.  Season 7 of CC was shown on the France 2 network during that time.  Cold Case itself does not appear in the list of foreign shows.

You can find Kathryn’s name in the list on this page.  Tick the box, type in the word at the bottom of the page, and click “Voter”.  Simples.

Based on past experience the French people appear to very much appreciate Kathryn, but every vote counts so please vote for her.  The polls close on the 11th of January 2012 at 5pm French time (4pm GMT) with the results to be declared on the 21st.

Cold Case Still Hot In France

CoverYet again the French nation is putting the rest of us (this site excepting of course) to shame in their visible love of Kathryn and Cold Case.

There have been many articles published in the past few weeks on French-based TV news websites that, I think, are declaring the current broadcasting of Cold Case season 7 on the France 2 channel a big hit.  If rough translations are accurate it looks like Cold Case is getting substantial audience figures, being amongst the highest rates shows in the country.

This article from early Feb puts it 2nd with over 5.5 million viewers.  By the end of the month it is in first place with over 6 million.  A third piece from last week says 7 million.  Each suggests an audience share of 20% or more.

CoverJanuary and February saw Kathryn starring on the covers of several French TV magazines.  Sadly they are not new photos and I don’t think their is much new content inside either.  Oh well, it is good to know that the publishers think Kathryn is a good bet for drawing the punters to their wares though.  Of course she is, she’s gorgeous.

CoverA February Télé Poche cover (above right) declares in its headline “The real reasons for the ending of Cold Case” (or words to that effect).  A Télé Z magazine from January (see left) goes without a statement and just sticks with a picture, the head and shoulders of the same picture in fact.

As well as those two recent magazine covers, we have one more from a year old Télé Z (see right) now added to the Gallery.

Au revoir.

Silly Season Gets An Annual Update

screenshot_001Apparently silly season has its own version of the Indian Summer.  Who knew?  :-)

You and I know this is a stupid story.  Let’s hope that the people of the National Enquirer really know it as well or there really is no hope for civilisation.

For some reason the US tabloid has decided to dredge up the Kathryn/Brad/Angelina story that was first fabricated last year when the movie Moneyball was filming.  But they are not repeating that nonsense.  No, of course not.  Heaven forbid.

Surprisingly late to the party, as Moneyball has been out several weeks, the Enquirer has spotted that Kathryn’s scenes are not in the movie.  I’ll leave it to them, in their own inimitable style, to try explain that cutting Kathryn’s scenes made sense for the movie.  They are not implying anything at all.  Honest.

The article on the National Enquirer website is not available outside the US so I’ve copied the text below.

Update (13 Oct):  ZimGossip is carrying the story on a more widely available site HERE.  Also, Sophie S. Benvenuti at Gather.com has written a similar piece to mine about the National Enquirer article.  You can read her take in this “news” HERE.
