Cold Case S01E08 – Fly Away HD Screencaps

Fly Away has to be one of the more difficult episodes. The story is also one of the most compelling despite being one of the newest and simplest to sum up: A woman wakes from a two-year coma caused by a fall that killed her 6 year old daughter. Welcome to the latest edition in KM UK’s Summer of HD 2012.

Anything involving a deprived mother and young children is going to be of personal interest to Det. Rush, but remember that this was the very first time we’d got a look behind that particular curtain. This is, of course, Lilly so it is only a glimpse.

Why did this young woman take the drastic step of jumping through a window with her child? Will she remember anything of that night? Just what happened to Lilly all those years before?

Cold Case S01E07 – A Time To Hate HD Screencaps

Hate? How can you hate that? That picture should be in the dictionary next to the list of antonyms for hate!

Episode 7 of Cold Case season 1 was A Time To Hate and it is the subject of the latest entry in KM UK’s Summer of HD 2012.

The story centres around the treatment of members of the gay community in the 1960s. Have things changed so much these days? Probably not enough.

Can the PPD squad solve the murder of a young baseball player? Was one of their own, a policeman, involved?

Cold Case S01E06 – Love Conquers Al HD Screencaps

That’s the moment. The beginning of a brand new relationship.

Danny Pino made his first appearance as Detective Scotty Valens in this, the 6th episode of Cold Case season 1. As if that is not enough man in Lilly’s life we also see ADA Kite (Josh Hopkins) for the first time. Love Conquers Al is the latest entry in KM UK’s Summer Of HD 2012 updates.

In between being a very robotic killing machine in Firefly and being a robot killing machine in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles the actress Summer Glau put in a guest role in this episode. Summer stars as teenage athelete Paige Pratt who was killed in 1981. Paige’s boyfriend Al was convicted and jailed for the crime. New evidence has Lilly re-opening the case. Not so fun bobby after all.

Cold Case S01E05 – The Runner HD Screencaps

Look out for a film about the Titanic by the same person that created the title for this episode. If they ever make one it will be called “It Sinks”. Talk about a spoiler. Geez!

KM UK’s Summer of HD 2012 reaches the fifth episode of Cold Case’s first season: The Runner.

A tape recorder and cassette brought into the precinct hold clues to the 1973 murder of a young police officer. The squad investigate but it is fairly obvious if they just read the title on the front of the script. That guy in the picture above did it.

Director David Straiton and cinematographer Eric Schmidt seemed to be having some fun with this episode as there are lots of interesting camera angles, and lighting and colourisation effects.

Justin Chambers (Det. Chris Lassing) does not feature at all in this one. In the next episode a new Detective joins the squad to replace Lassing. Don’t worry, everyone hates him and he doesn’t last. I can’t even remember his name

Cold Case S01E04 – Churchgoing People HD Screencaps

Lilly thinks she has a dysfunctional family (not we’ve that heard anything about them yet as we are at the beginning of season 1) but the Rushes have nothing on the Bayes. KM UK’s Summer of HD 2012 continues with Churchgoing People.

The clean cut, perfect-seeming family of good, churchgoing people are harbouring some dark secrets. Mr Bayes is found dead in his parked van surrounded by the sort of things a man in his position should not be found with. More than 10 years later his widow is picked up wandering the streets alone, clearly in a distressed state. Mrs Bayes may be suffering from Alzheimer’s but is her recall accurate? Can Lilly and co. get to the bottom of the mystery?
