KM UK’s Summer Of HD for 2014 kicked-off yesterday with new HD screencaps from the episode Willkommen. Week number 2‘s winner was Detention. Today the poll opens for week number 3. Which episode will you choose: Saving Patrick Bubley, One Night or The Hen House?
So, where to start? Rather than being all conventional and beginning at the beginning, we’re taking a more random approach this year, with you the reader able to vote for episodes you want to see next as we go along. Our first winner was Willkommen, episode 18 of this year’s chosen season: number 3. And what most comes to mind when we think of Cold Case? That’s right: amateur actors… Only joking Willkommen brings up the 2002 murder (the episode aired in May 2006) of an amateur actor who was taking part in a production of Cabaret. The cast list for the episode shows that the actors involved were anything but amateur. Several had previously done Cabaret on Broadway. The lead actor (aka, the victim) Adam Pascal was in Rent with our very own Tracie Thoms. The episode ends with a funny scene as the squad meet up at a bar and Vera, inspired by the case, breaks into song. 173 Full HD (1080p) Lilly screencaps are now in the the Gallery.

I’m hearing “bad news” so bad news it is. Last year’s Summer Of HD was based around season 2 of Cold Case because you, dear reader, chose it in a poll. I’ve got the post to prove it, so don’t deny it. The bad news is it that that means you get season 3 this year. The good news is that KM UK’s Summer Of HD for 2014 is all about season 3 of Cold Case As most of you will be familiar with by now the Summer Of HD is a chance to revisit Cold Case and update the site’s Gallery with new HD screencaps covering Kathryn’s role of Lilly in the show. Along the way they’ll be a few extras thrown in. In a new twist for 2014 you get to decide which CC episodes we do. OK, we’re still doing them all but you get to have some say in the order they are posted. Yay! for you! Each week there will be poll with three episodes to chose from. The poll will run for one week and the winning episode featured the week after that. So, this week we run the poll for Summer Of HD week 1. Chose your favourite from the three below. Next week come back to vote for week 2. Seven days later the first of our episodes posts will include the poll for week 3. Got it? Then let us begin our journey:
It took me a while to remember why a long-standing reminder to update the Cold Case season 2 promo photos even existed. The images are already in the Gallery and at quite a high resolution too. I had forgotten that KM UK’s old hosting limited the image size. The images had been shrunk to fit. Part of the reason for making the move back in May of 2010 was to accommodate images of any size to bring you the best available. As we have just finished a retrospective of Cold Case season 2 it makes sense to finally bring you a super-sized upgrade to the promo photos from that year. Number two is a massive 3750×5000 pixels. Plus, we have a new small photo (see above). 5 enlarged promo stills and 1 new addition can now be found in the Gallery.
