The Sweeter A-Side Of Life

Recently Michael Damien, co-writer/producer/director of Kathryn’s upcoming movie The Sweeter Side Of Life, has made several references to the film’s soundtrack.

It seems that the soundtrack could be released alongside the film and that Michael himself will be singing on it. He has recorded a song called Rock My Heart. As well as acting in the long-running soap opera The Young And The Restless Michael has had a lot of success as a singer. He is most associated with a cover of the David Essex song Rock On, later covered by Def Leppard amongst others.

Earlier today (UK time) composer/musician/singer/producer (does no one have just one job title these days?) John Khula released a different track made for The Sweeter Side Of Life.

The song is called Love Is Dancin’ and can be heard on the Reverbnation website. It’s a 3 minute long up-beat ditty, much as you would expect from such a film. Let us know what you think in the comments below.

One other piece of information to come from this is that the film could well be set for a January 2013 release.

The Sweeter Side Of Life stars Kathryn as Desiree, a newly divorced woman who returns penniless to her home town and starts working in her father’s bakery. James Best (The Dukes Of Hazzard) co-stars.

Fan Art Update – December 2012

It’s been a prolonged goodbye, but it hopefully won’t an extended one.

Last month, just after the previous fan art update, site-regular Lolly decided to take a break from KM UK to help her focus on other things, including her studies. We wish her all the best for the future and hope she visits us again when she can.

She did, however, very kindly leave us a parting gift of some banners.

Lolly’s six new Banners are now in the Gallery.

A Backwards Step Up For Kathryn

A couple of weeks ago Kareen_T very kindly let us know about Kathryn appearing at the Step Up Women’s Network Stepping Up In The City event. The previous post is here.

Kathryn attended one of several Step Up Women’s Network events taking place across the USA that day (14th November 2012) to celebrate the organisation’s 15th anniversary. More were held in the following days.

Before we only managed to get one image of Kathryn at the event but yet again Kareen_T has proved she has a real knack for tracking down more. Thanks to her beady eye we’re able to increase our collection of images from the event by a massive 200%. Unfortunately that only means going from just one up to three

More The Coin On Set Photos

We’ve managed to find a couple more photos of Kathryn, Christopher Llloyd and the young Jack Ryan Shepherd on the set of Fabien Mortorell’s short film The Coin. Clearly they very closely resemble the photos posted previously here and here but we knew you’d like to see them anyway.

Kathryn CC Items In Paige Fortin Auction – Update

Here we have a chance to own a bit of genuine Cold Case memorabilia signed by a certain Ms Kathryn Morris and help a good cause.

Just two months ago a young woman called Paige Fortin, from Amesbury, Massachusetts, was in a serious road accident which resulted in her losing much of her right leg. The community has rallied around to help Paige and her family but they still are faced with long term costs.

Amesbury-based artist Jon Mooers is putting his new gallery to use by running a charity art auction at the end of November (2012) to raise money. As well as works supplied by local artists Jon has used his Hollywood connections to get a few extras. For example there is a piece of concept art for the web series Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome by illustrator Peter Mitchell Rubin (Independence Day). But there are also multiple reasons for KM UK’s interest in this event.

Kathryn has donated eight “lots” of Cold Case memorabilia. Two crew caps, three sets of directors chairs & publicity photos, her own personal crew jacket, and a couple of embroidered patches . All signed by the actress herself. The jacket includes an inscription related to the cause.
