Reverie Promo Video

poster_004With just over a month to go until the première of the sci-fi-ish drama Reverie it seems that the NBC network have started the process of promoting the show.  In a small way at least.

Over night (UK time) a short trailer was broadcast.  KM UK has managed to obtain a copy of the 30 second video.  You can find it in the gallery.

trailer_002Although some elements are, not surprisingly, the same as the trailer first seen 11 months ago (yes, it is that long!) this new promo is largely made up of new clips.

Sadly it does not contain even the slightest glimpse of Kathryn.  They are clearly keeping the best stuff to themselves for now :-)

Reverie, starring Person Of Interest‘s Sarah Shahi as a former hostage negotiator tasked with talking people in to leaving a fully immersive VR simulator, is due to début on the 30th of May in America.

Kathryn @ CDG Awards – Feb 2005 Update

cdga_03We are deep in the midsts of awards season.

The BAFTAs were last weekend (18th Feb).  The Oscars are next weekend (4th March).  The British Music Awards were a few days ago.  The Grammy awards ceremony happened at the end of January.  The MTV Europe Music Awards are…. OK, they’re ages away (November!).  Don’t worry, the KM UK annual awards will be in a few weeks.

To jump on this bandwagon, and to make up a little for the lack of posts recently, it is time to go back in time to awards ceremonies gone by.  The Costume Designers Guild Awards in 2005 to be precise.

If it was 2013/2014 this post would just be Frozen reference after Frozen reference regarding Kathryn and her fairy princess dress.  But we’re all so sick of Frozen references.  Let it go already!  Sorry :-)  The release of a sequel late next year will no doubt kick it all off again though.  That should kill off the current unicorn craze, unless Frozen 2 includes a unicorn!

The lady sharing the sofa with Kathryn and the boys in the image above is costume designer Jill Taylor.    Presumably Kathryn, Danny and John presented Jill’s award to her, which is why they are pictured together afterwards.  She won for her work on the film The Life And Death Of Peter Sellers.  The biopic about the late actor/comedian starred a host famous names including Geoffrey Rush (The King’s Speech), Charlize Theron (Mad Max: Fury Road), and Emily Watson (Punch-Drunk Love).

The KM UK Gallery has now been updated with 12 new images (and a small update to #10).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATHRYN!

banner_176_752x497_dianekmfanHappy Birthday Kathryn!

To you from everyone that visits KM UK

A gentleman doesn’t discuss a lady’s age but suffice to say Kathryn is… lovely as always.

To help us celebrate this special day we are lucky to have dedicated fans who are willing to create art works just for the site.  The banner above has been created by the also January-born Diane.  Nice use of the recent photo from the New York Comic Con there.

The image has been added to the KM UK fan art gallery. which has over 700 items across banners, wallpapers, avatars, drawings, videos, and buttons.  If you would like to have your work added please contact me.  They can be event specific (birthday, Xmas, thanksgiving etc.) or general.  There is a huge amount of material in the gallery to use in compositions.

It’s A Wrap On Reverie

on_set_003The cast and crew of the upcoming sci-fi-ish drama series Reverie have been letting it be known that they’ve finished filming.

The last day of season one filming was apparently on Tuesday (19th Dec 2018).

Kathryn’s co-star Jessica Lu celebrated by posting the photograph (added to the KM UK Gallery) you see on the right.  I assume it is her phone but technically it a Dennis Haysbert selfie as he’s holding the device.  If he’d held it side ways everybody wouldn’t have had to squeeze in so much, not that we mind really :-)

Sarah Shahi and Sendhil Ramamurthy joined them in the shot.

Jessica thanked pretty much everybody (including Kathryn) on the planet in a lengthy social media posting.

Congratulations to everyone involved in the production of Reverie.  March 6th feels a long way off.

Paycheck Première 2003

003For various reasons it has been a quiet December on KM UK.

To make up for it we’re going to take a trip to an Xmas past.  It’s an Xmas present to enjoy for the Xmas (in the near) future.  See what I did there? :-)

Fourteen, yes 14!, years ago today (18th December 2003) the action/sci-fi-ish movie Paycheck got the red carpet treatment at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.  The general release started a week later on the 25th.

Strikes me as an odd time to bring out a movie.  In the UK that would never happen.  The big day is a national holiday so places like cinemas are not open, Boxing Day maybe.  I know that in the US Thanksgiving is more significant like that.

It had not occurred to me before but the wonderful red colour of Kathryn’s dress is a little bit Xmas-y.  Wonder if it was deliberate.  As there is not much more to it than the colour hopefully winter in Hollywood was not cold that evening :-)

Last updated in 2010 I’ve added 12 more photos to the Paycheck première gallery here.  That’s one large image (the one above) and 11 medium sized ones.
