Cold Case S01E02 – Gleen HD Screencaps

Cold_Case_S01E02_lilly_144This website’s powers have reached new levels!  Starting of our KM UK Summer of HD 2012 last week clearly had a profound effect on the English weather with some of the warmest conditions in a long, long time hitting the country the past few days.  I fear that it is set to end very soon though.  The temperatures have already started dropping and with the double whammy of daring to talk about a mini-heatwave (for UK that is) and next week’s national holiday (marking the Queen of England’s accession to the throne) we will likely be knee deep in snow by the weekend 😕

Where were we?  Oh yes, episode two of Cold Case season one (the first one I saw due managing to forget to watch episode one all those years ago 😡 ) is Gleen.  Named after a made-up-for-the-show washing powder, Gleen involved the case of a woman killed by a bomb hidden inside a box of the titular cleaning product.

PPD weapons and fire-arms expert, and fan favourite Louie Amante makes his first appearance on Cold Case in this one.  Louie and Lilly have clearly known each other for a while and their banter was always an amusing highlight to any episode he starred in.  We saw Louie a further five times across Cold Case’s run, his last being Two Weddings in which the squad attended Louie’s own wedding.

370 HD (720p) new Lilly screencaps and 4 promo photos for the episode can now be found in the Gallery.

Cold Case S01E01 – Look Again HD Screencaps

Cold_Case_S01E01_lilly_387KM UK’s Summer of HD 2012 gets off to a damp start.  Entirely appropriate for an English summer :-)

Yes, for 2012 we are going back to the very beginning, back to Cold Case season 1.  Did you guess correctly?

In the very first episode, Look Again, after visiting a fresh crime scene Detective Lillian Rush gets involved in solving an old case from 1976, and she’s not best pleased about it.

Looking again (see what I did there?) at this pilot episode you can see that the show did not quite have the structure we became so familiar with.  The flashbacks are very brief and it is wall-to-wall Lilly (a good thing :-) ) with Kathryn in practically every scene.

Also, Danny Pino’s makeup artist must have been different because he looks so different :-)  I joke of course.  Justin Chambers starred as Det. Chris Lassing in 3 of the first 4 episodes.  We don’t get introduced to Scotty Valens until later in the season.

398 HD (720p) new Lilly screencaps and an updated promo image from Look Again can now be found in the Gallery.

Summer Of HD 2012

The weather in the UK the past few weeks has covered pretty much every season going.  Sometimes we even get a bit of each within the space of a few hours.  I know, as a nation we’re obsessed with it 😕  You would be too if you got so much of the stuff.

Technically Summer starts in mid-June but we can’t wait that long to get started with the 2012 edition of KM UK’s Summer Of HD.

Over the next few months we’ll be bringing to you a whole new set of HD screencaps from your favourite cop show starring Kathryn Morris.  There’ll be some promo & stills photos to go with them too.

In 2011 we did season 4.  Tune in next week to find out which season we’re covering this year.

Kathryn @ 59th Annual Primetime Emmys 2007 – The Rest Of The Night

press_room_12Careful Kathryn there’s some Pino on your arm.

We will continue our 2007 updates with a second post covering the Primetime Emmy Awards of that year in a moment, but first we need to add something that got missed off from the previous update.

press_room_17I’d forgotten that I had a video of Kathryn being interviewed on the red carpet stashed away waiting for an appropriate time to post it.  Last week would have been that time.  Doh!  It’s the usual sort of chit-chat about the dress etc. but does include Kathryn’s thoughts on the then upcoming season 5 of Cold Case.  The video now is in the Gallery.

And back to our regularly scheduled update…

Last time out it was Kathryn on the red carpet.  Now we move on to the show itself, into the backstage area, the post-show press room and an after party.  Photos aplenty.  And a video!

press_room_17Ms Morris and Mr Pino presented two awards together and we have video to prove it.  Once off stage they were photographed together in the press room.  We already had quite a few photos of the pair of them larking about for the snappers but we’ve super-sized four of them and added a further 24 for your viewing pleasure!

But that’s not it.  We also have an additional shot of Kathryn and Danny backstage and one of Kathryn attending the Governor’s Ball after party.

For the some of the larger sized images we have to say a big thank you to our friends at Danny Pino Online.

Resurrecting The Champ UK DVD

dvd_cover_001Not sure how this one passed me by.

As luck would have it it ties with the many-themed 2007 posts we’ve been running.

Back in February, the 13th to be precise, the movie Resurrecting The Champ was released on DVD here in Great Britain.  If IMDb is to be believed (and I’ve no reason not to) then this is the first official release of RTC in the UK.  Quite why it has taken 5 years is unknown.  And why did Momentum Pictures choose now to release it?

Anyway, what we have is the most basic of DVDs.  It’s just the film.  No extras.  At least they haven’t claimed “interactive menus” (what else could a menu be?) as a feature!  There is no accompanying Blu-ray version either.  Reflecting the limited nature of the package is the low cost, it’s a cheap £6.49 (~US$10).

For those that don’t know RTC tells the tale of Erik (Josh Hartnet) a struggling newspaper sports reporter who comes across a now homeless ex-champion boxer (Samuel L Jackson).  Erik seizes the opportunity to pen a potentially career-making article.  Hilarity ensues.  OK, it’s not so much with the hilarity.

dvd_cover_001Kathryn plays Joyce, Erik’s estranged wife and mother of their son (Dakota Goyo).  She is a little older than Erik, works for the same newspaper and, significantly, is a much more successful writer.  You know how fragile the male ego can be.  Kathryn’s role is not particularly big (somewhere between Minority Report and Cougars, Inc.) but her character is key.  She sets the yardstick by which Erik measures his own success, is the prize Erik is really after (he wants to prove himself and become a proper father/husband) and is the moral centre of the movie.

This is another Rod Lurie directed film, one of several that has Kathryn had roles in.  Alan Alda (M*A*S*H), Terri Hatcher (Desperate Housewives) and Rachel Nichols (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) also star.

You can buy Resurrecting The Champ on UK DVD from Amazon.co.uk and find newly added copies of the DVD cover and a poster in the Gallery.
