 Since the last post in our little behind-the-scenes retrospective that we are calling Cougar Week, the filming of Cougars, Inc. has moved forward just 3 days. However, in the film we’ve jumped on a lot further than that. And there wasn’t even a time machine in the film! That’s movie magic for you.
On the 12th of February 2010 the cast and crew of Cougars, Inc. were on location shooting Kathryn’s final scene in the film. According the commentary track on the DVD Kathryn actually suggested this as an additional scene herself to help tie up her character’s story arc. It involved Alison (Kathryn) and Sam (Kyle Gallner) bumping into each in the street some time after ending their relationship. Alison appears to have re-discovered her independence, a “contractor”, and a hat.

On that day in history the ladies filmed the scene where Judy (Denise Richards) and Alison (Kathryn) argue about what happened between Sam (Kyle Gallner) and Alison. Judy wants in on the action. Alison is not so keen.
What should we call this scene then: “Girl fight”, “Cougars show their claws”, “Who’s she?”?

 We were going to do this last week but other things got in the way.
It’s been over two years since Cougars, Inc. was filmed, and more than a year since it was released on home video formats and largely disappeared. There’s still stuff to come from it though. For the rest of this week we will be bringing you a daily dose of new or updated behind-the-scenes photos from the movie. We’re going to label this series of posts Cougar Week.
To start us off we have photos taken on the 7th of February 2010, the day the party scenes were filmed. You’ll have to play “Where’s Waldo” bit for Kathryn in some of them. There’s lots of legs, hair and teeth, not all of them Kathryn’s.

 Look out for a film about the Titanic by the same person that created the title for this episode. If they ever make one it will be called “It Sinks”. Talk about a spoiler. Geez! 
KM UK’s Summer of HD 2012 reaches the fifth episode of Cold Case’s first season: The Runner.
A tape recorder and cassette brought into the precinct hold clues to the 1973 murder of a young police officer. The squad investigate but it is fairly obvious if they just read the title on the front of the script. That guy in the picture above did it.
Director David Straiton and cinematographer Eric Schmidt seemed to be having some fun with this episode as there are lots of interesting camera angles, and lighting and colourisation effects.
Justin Chambers (Det. Chris Lassing) does not feature at all in this one. In the next episode a new Detective joins the squad to replace Lassing. Don’t worry, everyone hates him and he doesn’t last. I can’t even remember his name

  It’s just typical of these Hollywood types!
They hold a big event to try and convince the hoi polloi (that’d be us) to do our bit for the environment. And what happens? Some of them decide to cause a bit of localised warming and some rising of… ‘c’ levels. As I said: typical! 😉
 Back in 2007 Kathryn attended the 17th Annual Environmental Media Association Awards in California. She made an eye catching entrance on the back of a scooter with her then-boyfriend David Barrett. This was the first of three such appearances at the EMA to date that we know of.
 Two years later the 2nd was less successful, sartorially speaking. As for the 2010… well, let’s just say the mercury was boiling that day! 😮
