Time for a little game based on a newly released version of the Cougars, Inc. box art (see right).
I’m calling it My Illustration Looking Fun game, or the M.I.L… Oh dear… That’s unfortunate 😉
The game involves looking at this latest revision of the box art and comparing it with the previous one and noting the differences. I’m sure we all played games like that as children.
Go to the Gallery and look at the images labelled Box Art 1 and the just added Box Art 3 (they are currently the 4th item on the second row and the 1st on the 3rd row, hold your mouse pointer over the thumbnails to see the labels). How many differences can you spot? Why do you think they made the changes? Let us know by posting a comment.
Having already released copies of the Blu-ray and DVD box art we’ll have to wait and see if they will be updated to match.
The Answers
Having analysed the two images the differences are these:
- Kathryn and the stair rail are much larger. They’ve scaled up that whole area making Kathryn almost as tall as Denise. It certainly makes her more prominent than she was. That may have been the primary goal behind the change.
- The new “It’s 10pm. Do you know where your mother is?” tag-line has been added.
- “James Belushi” has been changed to “Jim Belushi”. That is how he is generally known.
- The picture of Jim Belushi has changed and moved slightly to the left.
- There are small changes to Denise’s head, neck line and her left shoulder (our right). Nothing major just small shifts and size changes.
First!
The Oscars is the biggest awards show there is, period. In recent years the BAFTAs has deliberately been moved to happen before the American Academy’s awards so as not be seen to be playing second fiddle to them. But here at KM UK we get the last laugh. They both publish their schedules far in advance so we can nip in and hold our ceremony first!
Ladies and gentlemen, for your reading pleasure, may I present to you the Kathryn Morris UK Awards 2011. We take a look back at the events of 2010 to recognise the highs and lows of the year, all from the perspective of a fan of the amazing actress and all round wonderful person Kathryn Morris. Who or what will win the coveted ‘RichE’ (named after it’s creator, ME!) statues this year?
Those expecting a Ricky Gervais-style roasting of celebrities (did the Golden Globes organisers really expect anything different when they hired him?) will likely be disappointed but hopefully we’ll have a few laughs along the way.
Without further ado, the do…

It’s that time of year.
I’ve put together a sort of advent calendar again in the Gallery. This year, in honour of the ending of Cold Case I’ve chosen the theme “The Many Faces Of… Lilly Rush” (UK viewers may be able to think of a tune to go with that ). Each image is an HD screencap from CC season 7 with Lilly pulling a different facial expression.
The Advent Calendar is not properly interactive in the way I’d like, so that you’d click on a “door” to reveal an image. Instead, I’ve had to use a simpler system where by each day a new image will be revealed by me (assuming I remember and am able to). Clicking on the thumbnail will reveal a larger version of the image. Clicking on an unrevealed image will only show you a bigger version of the thumbnail, or nothing.
You can find the advent calendar HERE, and I have added a link in the menu on the right to make it easier to get to.
Anyone up for creating some Kathryn-related, Halloween-themed fan art?
The idea came up in a recent discussion which had drifted somewhat from its topic
At the time I referred to it as a “competition” but I think “challenge” would probably be more appropriate. There won’t be any prizes beyond fame, glory and deep sense of pride you’ll get seeing your artistic endeavours displayed in the KM UK Gallery
My aim would be to post all suitable submissions at some point during the week prior to the witching day itself, 31st October. Let us know you are interested in a comment below and email me directly or use the contact form to arrange sending me your work.
Just a quick post for a bit of fun.
Gaelick, an Irish website by/for “lesbians, bisexual, gay and transgender ladies”, is running a poll about female cops on TV. Kathryn is, of course amongst them. They want to know who we think is the favourite. I think we all know the correct answer to that
At time of the writing Lilly is winning. Let’s keep it that way
Go HERE and vote. NOW!
There is something about that website name…
