Fellow UK-ite Ednasharon has used online opinion gatherer SodaHead to ask what must be one of the simplest questions ever:
Which stars from Minority Report, you like the best?
Grammatically it leaves a few questions to answer but you get the gist.
Surely their can only be one answer. Can’t there? Apparently not. Ednasharon believes there are 7! It must be one of those multiple choice questions where there is only a single correct answer. Along with the right answer there will be several very plausible but wrong ones, and there is usually an obviously silly answer. In this case it must be “Max von Sydow” because that is clearly a made up name
Let’s get this question answered for Ednasharon. She needs to know.
You can see the question and give the correct answer (it’s ‘Kathryn Morris’ by the way) on SodaHead HERE.
I feel compelled to point out that Ednasharon claims to be a retired, straight, 6′ 11″, 22 year-old, college graduate, with no kids, and is looking for dating (she lurks in the bushes?). Make of that what you will.
Recovered from Thanksgiving yet? Had you got your blood-sugar levels down sufficiently from Halloween before hand?
Well, get on that treadmill, start pounding the pavement, or look in the back of the wardrobe/up in the loft for the Wii Fit Balance Board. We’re only few weeks from Xmas 😯
To aid your countdown to the big day KM UK has dusted off the Advent Calendar and filled it with pictures. Each day (assuming I remember) a new picture will be revealed. But what, I (didn’t) hear you ask, will be the theme for 2013?
With the events of the past year and the real meaning of Xmas… no, not chocolate! (and you can put thoughts of Xbox One/PS 4 out of your mind too)… there can only be one theme: Family.
Yes, for 2013 we’ve gathered together 25 pictures of Kathryn in the family way, so to speak. There will be images from Kathryn’s work on TV and film, as well as more recent photos. You can probably already guess what the headlining image will be but just play along for now please
The advent calendar is now available in the Gallery. A direct link has been added to the main menu on the right and will remain there for the duration.
There’s been a lot mentions in the press recently about a new film coming out today in the UK (next week in the US) called Rush.
An attractive blond lead backed up by a successful team. A cold, calculating opponent overcoming horrific injuries to try and take what he believes is rightfully his. A dramatic showdown in wet and darkening conditions. Flashbacks to a bygone era when men were men and women were as well. That can’t be right. When men were women and women were men… Hang on, I’ll get this right. When men were men and women were women. Not unlike today really. That phrase never made sense
Anyway, all the ingredients seem to be there for a great Cold Case movie.
I looked into it further. Turns out it is about two motor racing drivers from the 1970s, and not our favourite female detective
The 13th is definitely not lucky for us.
In all seriousness, the story of the 1976 Formula 1 World Championship battle between James Hunt and Niki Lauda is a fascinating one. The Ron Howard (Apollo 13) directed, Peter Morgan (Frost/Nixon) scripted film starring Chris Hemsworth (Avengers Assemble) as James Hunt and Daniel Brühl (Inglourious Basterds) as Niki Lauda has received wide critical acclaim. Worth a watch even if you aren’t a follower of the sport.
Normally I wouldn’t post something like this here on KM UK. It’s basically site policy that I don’t. But as Kathryn (sort of) asked I have to. How could I not.
This site is about Kathryn’s career and public life, not her private life. We stay clear of gossipy speculation about such things. Posts about her pregnancy have been confined to the official announcement and the recent public appearance, which was very much a baby related event.
However, in the video interview from the Plush 2013 red carpet the subject of baby names was raised. Kathryn’s response was, and I quote, “we’ve narrowed it down” and “we’re still open to a few more suggestions.”
Never one to shirk from a challenge so far I’ve come up with: Johnny Jr. and RichE Jr. Not sure either of those is going to fly You can definitely do better.
Things to keep in mind are the fact that they are boys, twins and their last name will likely be Messner. In England it is not a requirement that a child be given the last name of either parent. A child can be registered with any name. Despite that, it is tradition that a family name, normally from the father’s side, is used and I assume it is the same in America.
I’m sure that the parents-to-be have been through many options but maybe you can come up with a good one they haven’t thought of. Who knows, perhaps we’ll be able to show them your ideas for inspiration.
Can you suggest a name or two? Leave a comment.
The recession continues to bite around the world and there has been a version of the double-dip in the KM world too. For the second year running there has been very little to work with and that affects the KM UK Awards too.
Last year’s pessimism proved very much unfounded, but the unexpected success at the Olympics by Team GB (and those from Northern Ireland that wanted to join in) has meant the availability of medals has dropped significantly. We were very nearly forced to just use ribbons left over from the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee as awards. Luckily there were a lot unsold “I ♡ UK” souvenir teddy bears left over from the tourist traps outside the Olympic park so we have combined the two to create a very unique award: the “I ♡ KM UK” teddy bear 2013. We’re calling him ‘RichE’ in honour of our fearless leader, it seems very appropriate. Trust us, all the big awards ceremonies like the forthcoming BAFTAs and Oscars (we’ve beaten them again!) will now be kicking themselves for not thinking of this. Look out for the BearFTAs and Bears next year
Kathryn’s film work during 2012 did not/will not see the light of day until this year, making it ineligible for the awards until next year. It’s going to make the 2013 awards tricky to say the least. 2014 should be in much better shape.
Due to budget constraints we can’t afford a big Hugh Jackman-style song and dance number. Or a collection of Ricky Gervais put downs. We can’t even put enough pennies together for Beyonce to mime over the Cold Case theme tune. We will not lower ourselves to using the latest X Factor oxygen thief, which we probably can afford. Instead please just watch a few minutes of Pierce Brosnan singing in Mamma Mia! (their exclamation mark) as it sets the (lack of) tone Don’t make the mistake of trying Piers Morgan *spit* instead. We don’t want him back! Off we go…
