 Distributor Lionsgate has officially issued details of the forthcoming North American Cougars, Inc. DVD and Blu-ray releases, including box art for both disc formats. The movie is due to go straight to DVD in America and Canada on the 10th of May.
After the jump you’ll find a copy of the Lionsgate document. I’ve added HQ images of the DVD (see right) and Blu-ray box art to the Gallery. As you can see the shorter/wider format of the Blu-ray packaging means the cropping of the image is slightly different.
Confirming what has been suspected for a while I was recently told by a representative of Grindstone Entertainment (the distributing partner of Lionsgate for the film) that there will be no theatrical release for Cougars, Inc. To remove any confusion that I might have been talking about the UK I did re-check that this related to the US as well. It did.
A straight to DVD release does not preclude the possibility of screenings, possibly as part of the publicity campaign, but even a limited theatrical distribution is now very unlikely.

 Asher Levin has posted a couple of on set photos taken by Neil Fernandez on the Official Cougars, Inc. Facebook page. One them was of Kathryn so I have added it to the Gallery.
It is quite a small picture but you don’t need a big picture to showcase that amazing smile. Bigger would be better though

 We may have been disappointed by the lack of Kathryn at the Oscars but I think this may make up for it. A lot! 😉
Photographer Steven Taylor, who did the Cougars, Inc. photoshoot we saw images from late last year that makes up the cover art work for the DVD/Blu-ray releases of the movie, has put a behind the scenes video from the shoot on YouTube. And it is quite a sight to behold for us Kathryn fans.
The video shows the ladies of the movie Kathryn, Denise Richards, Rebecca Mader and Catalina Rodriguez and Kyle Gallner posing for photos.

 Cougars, Inc. on Blu-ray has made an appearance on the United Kingdom version of Amazon online store. However, it is not a proper UK release, rather it is an import of the American one. You can find the item listing here.
No price or release date is given, just the option of signing up to receive a notification of availability, but I’m sure the details of American version apply
So far we have America, Canada and our original surprise sighting of Germany listing Cougars, Inc. on Blu-ray and/or DVD. If you spot it as being available in your local area please let me know via the contact form.
I updated the Blu-ray box image in the Gallery yesterday with a version that includes the spine (as seen on the right). That section appears to have been cropped off the previous version.
Just to prove how international this site we now bring you pre-order news from Amazon’s North American website. No, the other North America
Cougars, Inc. is now being listed for pre-order on the Canadian variant of the Amazon online store. The details are the same as for the USA version except for the use of Canadian Dollars. The discount is slightly larger for the DVD compared to the Southern North America prices with the DVD at CDN$17.49 (list price CDN$24.95) and the Blu-ray for CDN$20.99 (list price CDN$29.95).
