The Perfect Guy – Spot The One We Love

protect_the_one_you_love_001Tomorrow The Perfect Guy hits the cinemas in north America.

Today KM UK brings you another glimpse of Kathryn in the movie.

If you thought Kathryn’s appearances in the previously posted trailer and featurette videos were of the ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ variety, you ain’t seen nothing yet.  If you even think about blinking with this one you’ve already missed it.

interview_soundbitesIncluding the credits at either end, this TV trailer titled ‘Protect The Ones You Love’ is 15 seconds long.  They squeeze a lot of movie into the fifth of a minute, including a few frames of a certain Ms. Morris.

Unlike the previous restaurant scene we’ve seen a couple of times now this one looks to be set at a home, possibly that of Kathryn’s character Karen.  Based on the film’s synopsis and the presence of Morris Chestnut and Sanaa Lathan in the scene I’d take a guess it is from early in the film.

The video and a few screencaps from it are now in the Gallery.

Bone Tomahawk Sets Its Sights On Sitges

sitges_film_fest_2480x3508We can’t fault Bone Tomahawk for cramming them in.

So far the S. Craig Zahler’s horror western has amassed fives showings lined up across the US and northern Europe already.

Now we switch to southern Europe for the Sitges International Film Festival, held in the town of Sitges, not far from Barcelona in Spain.

You may not have heard of Sitges or its film festival but it’s certainly heard of you… wait… that can’t be right :-)

The festival has been running since 1967. Therefore this will be the 48th edition, and as such it is thought of as one of the most significant that focuses on the horror and fantasy film genres.

This year the Sitges International Film Festival is running from the 9th to the 18th of October.  Bone Tomahawk has been announced as one of many films that will be screened.  At the time of posting the schedule has not been published yet though.  What has been said is the Bone Tomahawk will be part of the ‘Official Fantàstic Competition’ so an award could be in the offing.

As per usual the full details can be found HERE on the official website.

The Perfect Guy – Kathryn Featurette Appearance

featurette_the_story_003Today was expected to see the première event, red carpet and all, of The Perfect Guy movie.

Contrary to the information I had (and reported here) the first screening happened last week.  Kathryn was not, as far as I can find, in attendance.

interview_soundbitesTo help make up for that disappointment I have added a new promotional ‘featurette’ video to the Gallery.  The 1 minute long piece; which includes movie clips, snippets of interviews and some behind-the-scenes shots; focuses on the story.

At around the 20 second mark we Kathryn fans get a slightly different take on the scene we saw in the first trailer.  This time around we get a little more than an “ahhhh” and a smile.  Only a tiny bit more though :-)

As well as the video, I’ve included a handful of screencaps for your perusal.

The Perfect Guy is released this week in the USA.

Bone Tomahawk UK Release Date?

poster_001_1014x1500The horror western Bone Tomahawk, in which Kathryn has a small role, is due for release in the US on October 23rd.  That’s three weeks after it’s première at the Fantastic Fest event on the first of the month.

poster_002_1500x2215As reported last week, on this side of ‘the pond’, the film will be first shown at a BFI event on the 10th.

However, it is looking like the general cinema going audience will have to wait longer than a month to see Kurt Russell (Death Proof), Matthew Fox (Party Of Five), Lili Simmons (Banshee), Patrick Wilson (A Gifted Man), David Arquette (Scream), Sean Young (No Way Out), Richard Jenkins (Burn After Reading) etc. battling “cannibalistic cave dwellers”.

According to information I’ve found the likely release date for those of us in the UK is going to be the 11th of December.  Surprisingly late.

As an aside, I’ve added a new, even bigger version of the 2nd poster for Bone Tomahawk to the Gallery.

Paycheck – Friday, BBC1 Again, Again

Paycheck_1080p_010I’ve only just spotted this so it is rather last minute.  Don’t worry, I’ve got a memory wiping machine so you’ll all remember that I gave you plenty of notice :-)

Give or take a week or two it has been a year since the BBC last broadcast sci-fi action drama Paycheck.  It is on tonight (4th of September) at 11:35pm on BBC1, except in Northern Ireland.  No showings scheduled for the NI crowd.

Ex-Dare Devil and future Batman Ben Affleck stars as computer engineer Michael Jennings.  Michael is tasked with copying competitor designs but has his memories of the work erased afterwards to in some way get around copyright laws.  Things go awry when Michael realises that someone is trying to kill him, but his pre-memory wipe self has left clues about it.  Uma Thurman (Kill Bill) also stars.

Kathryn as a small but captivating role near the beginning of the film.  Being a public service broadcaster that it is the BBC has again kindly started the movie early enough so that you can see Kathryn and still be in bed by midnight.  These things are important for those of us of a certain age.

The BBC’s website has more details HERE.  Various images from the film are in the KM UK Gallery.
