Let’s end the week on a particularly lovely note. We’re delving way back into the archives for an update.
Ahh, the good old days. When attending multiple events in one year, sometimes even two in a month, was not uncommon! I know! Shocking! 
In 2004 Kathryn attended the Primetime Emmy Awards. She even presented an award with fellow actor Anthony LaPaglia. The two of them have never acted together but Kathryn has worked with Anthony’s younger brother Jonathan, twice. LaPaglia Jr. co-starred with Kathryn in the movie Inferno and he played ADA Curtis Bell in Cold Case. Films and roles very much the opposites ends of the spectrum in many ways.
Doesn’t Kathryn look stunning in her long red dress with a plunging neckline (that’s fashion speak for “much cleavage on display”) and curly hair? No? Well, you’re wrong! 😡

Kathryn does not look good with short curly hair
I agree with IcyWinter on this one. Kathryn always looks gorgeous, but the short hair just doesn’t flatter her very well. I love her with long, loose, wavy curls. Seriously, if I could just do her hair or makeup once…

She also does not look good with red lipstick, never looks good on someone who has a pale complexion
If I had to pick out hair and makeup for Kathryn, it would be long hair with really loose, casual curls. Like the kind of curls you would make with a flat iron. I would do a shimmery lip gloss. That way there’s not too much color. I honestly have never liked lipstick anyway, so that’s a plus. I’d probably get some bronzer on her face, too. Definitely a shimmery blush. I’d probably do smokey eyeliner with a natural-toned eyeshadow. This edit will happen someday.
So now that I’ve stared WAY too long at a picture of Kathryn’s face… Hahaha.
@Lolly- I disagree, Kathryn does not need a bronzer on her face. Being pale is perfectly fine. A Bronzer would be horrible, and take away her natural beauty.
As for Shimmery lipgloss, she’s not a teenager or someone her 20’s. Kathryn is almost 43, it wouldn’t look right for a woman her age to wear that.
That’s just me, I think Kathryn looks better wearing minimal light makeup. Too much makeup on fairskinned person is bad, trust me I have fairskin like Kathryn’s. Long hair with bangs looks very good on her.
I’m not saying tons of bronzer, just enough to make her look a little sun-kissed.
I’d say the lightest shade possible. As for the lip gloss, it can look good for any age if applied properly. 😀
Oh man, now I’m going to forever fantasize about doing Kathryn’s makeup one day for an event or something. 😀 😀 😀
@Lolly- I don’t think she looks good with a brozer that makes her look sun kissed. Pale skin is beautiful, she doesn’t need to look like those fake celebs or divas. Kathryn is beautiful with a fair complextion.
That Brozed Look isn’t suitable for her…
Are you going to be a makeup artist when you graduate?? It would take years because you would be able to do makeup for a celeb, need to build up your name, in Hollywood.
No, I’m going to be an English teacher, and I’m minoring in dance so I can teach at a dance studio on the side.
Doing hair and makeup is more of a hobby. 
I’ve done it for all of my friends and family, and I’ve developed quite the eye for different hair color/skin tone combinations. It’s a fun hobby, but not something I’d choose to pursue. 
@Lolly- That’s really good, it’s funny I don’t wear makeup at all; but I know what looks good and what doesn’t on people…
I’ll literally stare at pictures of people and picture them with different makeup looks and hairstyles. I’m still a favorite of flat-iron curls. 😀 I think Kathryn would look great with the upper half in a curled ponytail, with the top slightly poofed. Not poofed enough to look like a Jersey girl, but you get the picture. The actual ponytail would be flat-iron curled along with the rest of the hair. That would look amazing for an event. 😀
@Lolly- Ugh Kathryn would never good with those insane hairstyles from that stupid Jersey show( I can’t stand that show) I think she looks good with long hair with bangs, and minimal makeup.
To me she better that way. I never liked her hair short; it doesn’t fit her and the curly hair is way too much in these pictures.
Her 2007 hairstyle of the emmys was better but I hated the fringe look she had during Season 5. Kathryn looks better with bangs.
Haha, I must admit, Jersey Shore is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. But I definitely wouldn’t do her hair like that. Like I said, half ponytail with a tiny bit of height with flat-iron curls. 😀
I don’t like her hair short either. It just doesn’t fit the angles of her face well.
Also, the bang/fringe thing in Season 5. Please tell me I wasn’t the only one who cheered at the TV in the first episode after she cut them off? I love Kathryn with side bangs.
@Lolly- You are probably the only one who like it, I couldn’t stand her with that fringe look. She looks better with bangs in the front. Guess I’m just think there’s no difference between going on outside and seeing people acting that way and seeing it on tv. To me I think the Jersey show is the stupidest show on tv now. But whatever, that’s great if you enjoy it
No offense, this is just me…..
The other thing about Kathryn is that she looks great as a blonde, hated when she dyed her hair or the look she had in Seasons 1 and 2. That hairstyle bothered me….
