Thom Barry Cast In New Movie

Of the all Cold Case cast we like Kathryn the best here of course, but I think we all have a big soft spot for Thom Barry.  And we haven’t mentioned him here nearly enough.  So, to go some way to correct that, here is some news about an upcoming role for the gentle giant.

Thom’s quiet authority and screen presence has seen him play lawmen on many occasions in his career and now he’s going to do it again in a sequel to the horror classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.  Thom has been cast as Sheriff Hooper, surely a nod to Tobe Hooper, the director of the original version.

Short-lived Cold Case guest star Tania Raymonde (more famous for her role of Benjamin Linus’ daughter in the TV series Lost) also stars.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D is due for release by Lionsgate in October 2012.  You can read more about the announcement on ComingSoon.net.

Thanks to IcyWinter for the heads-up.

  • YAYYYY. 😀
Everyone has new stuff they’re working on and it makes me so happy. :)
I feel like a parent sending their kid off to college. 😀 😀 😀

Glad that he’s in a new movie, I wonder what everyone else is up to. What Kathryn, Tracie, John and Jeremy are all up to. We haven’t really heard anything recently. We do know that Kathryn finished filming a short film, nothing else.

I’m not into horror movies, but I wish Thom lots of luck :)

  • I, for one, hope Tracie goes back into Brodway. 😀

Speaking of Kathryn’s short movie, I can’t wait to see the pictures. 😀

@Lolly- Could be awhile, but we might have to wait for it to come out onto DVD. Since it’s a short film, the wait is shorter; since this type of movie doesn’t go theaters.

I’m am to psyched to be seeing Danny on Law and Order: SVU too :)
The former cast of Cold case has plenty of talent :)
