A tradition has it that Valentine’s Day cards and gifts are sent anonymously from a “secret admirer”. Sadly, this modern age of instant results and restraining orders has seen the loss of that more innocent age. And not adding my name to the message above hardly brings it back. Plus, it is far from a secret that I’m an admirer.
I hope everyone is able to be with someone special today.
I’d really like to claim that the image above was something I had toiled over for long hours, working in only the glow of my laptop screen, mouse’s laser scorching heart shapes into the desk surface, just to express my feelings in jpeg form. Sadly I can’t. Zoé made it for me. And at very short notice. It’s the thought that counts though, right? Right?

I hope so. It is certainly my goal to be the cause of one of those smiles. I would like to be around to see it though.
Did you ever write to her, RichE. I think she would like that a lot?
I did, back when there was much talk of it over on Look Again. I never heard anything back though, perhaps I made a mistake with not including a return envelope or something (it was said it wasn’t necessary). Perhaps my being in the UK made a difference.
I did end my letter with a reference to her wonderful smile, hoping that things would turn around for Lilly so we’d have more reason to see it.
You should open a new album and put this kind of art on it, as it did with the new album for magazines. The photos are beautiful. Congratulations.
And I agree with IcyWinter, Kathryn certainly open her wonderful smile to see it.

Would there be a demand for such a Fan Art section? I’m sure most of you artists have sites already where you show your work.
I will certainly consider it and think about the best way of arranging it. If you any ideas then please do email me or use the contact form.
@Sonia: I have given up hope of getting a reply to my letter to Kathryn. People seemed to get responses within a couple of months, and this was a couple of years ago. I didn’t put in a specific request for a photo or anything, maybe that’s why. Hopefully Kathryn got to read and appreciate it.
