Do we have an accident caused by drink-driving, a black-widow, a neighbourhood bully, or a jealous best friend?
Also, Scotty opens up to Lilly about Elisa and her problems.
Resolutions is another of Cold Case’s clever double meaning titles, referring to both the New Year’s promises that so many people make (and break 
by January 3rd) and the settling of long-standing issues.
