KM UK’s Summer of HD 2012 reaches the ninth episode of Cold Case’s first season and it’s a doozy.
There’s none of the standard newly found evidence stuff this time. No, Lilly receives a phone call from a man claiming to have murdered an old woman some 15 years earlier. It’s just weird. And if that’s not bad enough he does that whole ‘disappearing when a train goes between him and Lilly’ routine. I really hate that. How do people on TV shows and in films do it? If any of us tried that we’d be spotted running away or hiding behind something once the vehicle had passed.
Plus, instead of just the usual interview to bring the truth out we get an armed siege with our confessor holding himself at gun point. This cold case work is not such a safe and cushy number after all!
One thing missing from this episode though is a certain Det. Valens. He’s only been here a few weeks and already he’s taking time off! Actually I think this episode was shown out of order, compared to the order they were created, and it really belongs in the gap between Det. Lassing leaving and Valens joining.
As compensation we get a whole lotta extra Lilly instead. A bumper 474 HD (720p) Lilly screencaps and 5 new promo photos from the episode can now be found in the Gallery.

You got me thinking and I found my article from January that says that ION started from the very beginning. Looks like they are in the middle of season 4 at the moment. I assume they will go around again at some point.
Not sure how long they’ve been showing season 4 but from what I can tell it didn’t seem like they started with episode 1, ION shows Cold Case on Wed,Thurs & Fri.
Friday’s are the best cuz I get to watch 5 hours of Cold Case, back to back. TNT still shows some of Cold Case episode’s too!
When ION started showing Cold Case they started from the very beginning and went straight through the series a few times over. They also aired the show Monday through Friday with 17 episodes a week. It seems like recently they have been wanting to change things up a bit so they only air three times a week in different order.
Thanks 4 the update! I didn’t have cable until recently so I’ve missed seasons 1-3 and your correct they definitively are jumping around!
I sent an inquiry about doing a marathon of Cold Case,from the beginning! I’m not that big a fan of Without a Trace,Criminal Minds
or Flashpoint! They said they send it over to programming!
Will have to wait n see what they do! My luck they’ll decide n do it and I will be busy!

Based on the schedule on the ION website they appear to be showing Cold Case roughly in order. Currently they are in the latter half of season 4 and then move directly onto 5 and 6. By late August they’ll be done with 7. Some episodes are not in the right order and some are missing but it is nearly the complete set. At 12 episodes a week (3 + 3 + 6) they can clear a season in just a couple of weeks.
What happens after they finish season 7 is not clear but I would think that starting again from the beginning is a strong possibility.
Hopefully,ur right RichE,that it will start over! Will find out by the end of August! I look forward to watching all the episodes!
