Thanks to Wendy for pointing me in the direction of a plot synopsis for Mother’s Little Helpers on Freefall Films’ website. It makes for interesting reading, particularly for those of us interested in the character Alison.
The synopsis contains info that could be seen as spoilers so don’t read it if you’d prefer not to know anything more about the film. Of course the page may be out of date. The cast list certainly is, with only Ryan Pinkston still being involved. There is no way of knowing how long the page has been there and whether any changes have been made for the film currently in production.
You can find the original article, with musical accompaniment (not sure of what it is or its connection to the film), here. A copy is pasted after the jump.
Mother’s Little Helpers
By: K. Asher Levin
“This sordid little yarn is the story of Sam Lowell, a Los Angeles native, and son of a tabloid socialite, who has been in and out of a series of boot camps, rehabs, and boarding schools before he lands at the Moore Academy.
Upon arriving at the prestigious prep school, Sam finally thinks he has found his way (new friends a bond with an eccentric headmaster, and classes he actually enjoys), when he discovers his mom can’t afford his lifestyle anymore (she’s been cut out of her family trust for taking some risqué photos for a Maxim cover shoot), the judge who had helped him get into the school has kicked the bucket, and suddenly his wayward life hits a new all time low.
That is, until he has a fateful meeting with Alison Jacobs, a local housewife of the neighboring town, who has found herself in a bit of a rut as well (her husband is off nightly with his mistress leaving Alison and her nanny to take care of their infant).
And so, together, Alison and Sam find a common bond of comically dark despair that ignites a passionate one-night stand and inadvertently turns into much, much more.
After telling his pals about the lurid night, Sam and his buddy devise a plan to keep Sam in school by starting their own prostitution ring by catering to Alison and her desperate housewife friends.
What follows is a classic bedroom satire in the vein of Mike Nichols and Billy Wilder. A film about a generation of kids constantly trying to grow up quicker and adults who desperately attempt to stay young forever.”

Sounds like Kathryn’s character has a much bigger plot than what I had orignally thought
I think Alison is Denise Richards’ character. But its not always ‘bigger star’ = ‘bigger role’. If that is the case, then maybe Kathryn plays Courtney? When it comes to D and Kat’s characters, I know their bestfriends. So either way, we should be seeing some very sexy Kathryn scenes 😉
There’s like, an 85% chance of some dry-humping Ahaha! 😛
We should be getting more spoilers from Asher or Denise via Twitter and Youtube.
I’m happy for Kathryn have a major role (as far as I’m understand, that is)
And… I confess that I am anxious to see the result!
@Icy: That’s certainly what I was thinking. I’m still assuming it will be around the Resurrecting The Champ amount, and appearing various times throughout, and hoping for more. In MLH it sounds like Kathryn’s character is key to significant plot points, whereas in RTC any character could have been used to make the guy realise the right thing to do.
@Tianna: Alison is definitely Kathryn’s character. “85% chance of some dry humping”, sounds like a weather forecast 😛 I like those odds 😉
@Karen: Me too, especially now 😉
Comments from my friends
“I just want to see what this is going! Kathryn will probably do a perfect job!”

,
Anyway, I hope that over the coming months, we have more news about the film, interviews, photos … and everything! kkk '
When is this movie supposed to be released, will it be limited like AOAHSP???
Dry Humping, that like a sex scene?? The plot does sound interesting, lets hope that Kathryn is the one who gets recognized more than everyone else. I’m sick of her being overlooked, it’s her time to shine..
Current info says the movie is due for release in December this year. Beyond that we know nothing at this stage.
Dry humping is sex without actual sex. It can take many forms. I’m sure Wikipedia can give you more info.
LMFAO! BAHAHAHA!
Ahh, RichE, you kill me
😛
Sorry I was just being a bit stupid with that second question. I do hope that this movie gets some press, and hopefully a wide release instead of a limited release or just being put onto DVD..
Whoah, is Kathryn going to be sleeping with a teenager? Like a cougar? She’d be a great one if I can say.
That somehow disturbs me, to think of her character being with a teenager.
One thing: How old is the actor that is playing the teenaged boy??
Kyle Gallner is 23.
Cougars are AMAZING <3
lmfao!
The latest “Tweet” from Asher Levin.
I wonder if this refers to anything Kathryn related?
Is there any other website besides ” Twitter and facebook “, that have more information about this movie. I’m still coming up with nothing…
I’ve not found anything thing specific to the movie on Facebook any where. I’ve posted links to the all the sites I have found so far.
The IMDb page has been updated a little with a more accurate cast listing, including some we haven’t seen mentioned elsewhere in minor roles. No sign of Kathryn on it yet, but I’m sure she’ll turn up soon.
It is still very early days for a quite a small movie so it hardly surprising there is not a lot of info out there. The YouTube videos are getting some hits so word is spreading.
According to IMDB, it states that it’s filming in Michigan. I wonder if they will leave Kathryn’s scenes for last, due to her involvement on CC, since CC is filmed in California.
I’m guessing that Michigan is wrong, or isn’t involved very much. All the location shots seemed to be from places around California. The synopsis above mentions Sam being from California.
RichE are you on twitter?
Do you follow me? Cause I dont think I’m following you 😛
Ahaha!
I’m not on Twitter or Facebook.
I’m considering getting a Twitter account for this site but I’m not sure I’d post to it much. I really don’t want to get too involved with it.
